I told you I was going by the graphic on ESPN, which I think was the average rating score of their starts (I think Scherzer was #1 on the team with 66 and Anibal was second with like 64 and then Verlander was at like 57). Using advanced metrics is not a stupid argument. Actually not even using WAR my post was wrong because Sanchez has a clear edge over Scherzer using FIP, 1.78 vs 2.48 (which is still great).

Really the only advanced metric I don't like is WAR. I think the rest are pretty good and very valuable when used correctly.

Matt Harvey suffered his first loss today against St. Louis, as Wainright got his 10th win. Poor bastard made the mistake of giving up one run in 7 innings and didn't get bailed out like he had in at least two other games where he left while trailing.

I don't get why people do this. Last night with a man on 2nd and 2 outs the Twins walked Cabrera, for Fielder? He then preceded to hit a monster 2 RBI double to right. I just don't get the reasoning last night, I know Cabrera is great but Prince Fielder isn't any slouch either. He obviously hates the disrespect as he's almost .500 lifetime after an IBB to Miggy

Did they have a lefty on the mound?
