The Babe does have a candy bar with his namesake.

Prince has the biggest fast food chain in his back pocket though...

Given that Prince hates Cecil, I wonder how many double cheeseburgers he bought him to participate in this ad?

Prince is a vegetarian. Probably didn't buy many double cheeseburgers.

Well, give me the Babe then. Prince is slowly poisoning himself with garbage food. He'll be sick as hell before he retires, and probably in terrible shape by time he's 50. Soy and Tofu, especially for a guy. Disgusting.

Call me cynical, but please tell me why the Tigers are considered such a favorite by everyone? If Sanchez pitches like has has the last year+, it's a hell of a 1/2 with Verlander.
Scherzer is the clear #2, and is actually pitching better than anyone on the staff right now, they showed a graphic on ESPN during the Indians/Rangers game about it

Anibal Sanchez WAR - 3.4

http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=3284&position=P

Max Scherzer WAR - 3.0

http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=3137&position=P

Wrong, Sanchez is pitching better than anyone. 3.4 > 3.0

:)

Don't you love it when someone's stupid argument gets thrown back in their face?

Brewers win 10-1 in a barn burner over the Marlins. Rickie Weeks with a huge pinch hit walk.

Nicee. I told you I was going by the graphic on ESPN, which I think was the average rating score of their starts (I think Scherzer was #1 on the team with 66 and Anibal was second with like 64 and then Verlander was at like 57). Don't know how they score that though.

Using advanced metrics is not a stupid argument. It got "thrown back in my face" because I didn't look at those stats when making my post, I only went by the graphic they showed on ESPN (fail on my part).

Actually not even using WAR my post was wrong because Sanchez has a clear edge over Scherzer using FIP, 1.78 vs 2.48 (which is still great).

Really the only advanced metric I don't like is WAR. I think the rest are pretty good and very valuable when used correctly.

Matt Harvey suffered his first loss today against St. Louis, as Wainright got his 10th win. Poor bastard made the mistake of giving up one run in 7 innings and didn't get bailed out like he had in at least two other games where he left while trailing.

Also, fuck St. Louis.

Agreed, but it was relevant here because they both played the same position.

HR sprint champion Adam Rosales didn't enter the game vs the Yankees until extra innings and still struck out 4 times.

Double what? Scotch? JD?

Glad that he is 21 though, because if he were to be asked about it, it would be a clown question. Bro.

Anyways, glad he is doing well, I was thinking sophomore slump before taking him in a draft.

I don't get why people do this. Last night with a man on 2nd and 2 outs the Twins walked Cabrera, for Fielder? He then preceded to hit a monster 2 RBI double to right. I just don't get the reasoning last night, I know Cabrera is great but Prince Fielder isn't any slouch either. He obviously hates the disrespect as he's almost .500 lifetime after an IBB to Miggy

Did they have a lefty on the mound? Either way, managers feel they have a better shot against Prince than they do against Miguel which makes senses considering Miguel has been all world.

That's because Detroit's line up is just so sick.
