Wow John Mayberry comes off the bench in the 10th and hits a game tying HR. Then in the 11th he hits a Grand Slam.

Was wondering that myself. I could see it if Uggla was on 3rd, but no reason to be playing that shallow with the winning run on 2nd with 1 out.

Yah would have been a fly out of they were at normal depth.

It's a sad day for me when my team's best accomplishment of a given day is: Barely avoided being no-hit.

Especially when that's happened twice in a one-week period and the first "barely avoided being no-hit" came as a direct result of a bad ball/strike call by an ump which gave the batter a new lease on life that led to that one hit.

haha yeah I feel you on that one. Braves have been known to have those games too.

Teheran is really starting to get comfortable lately and live up to some of the expectations placed on him by people around baseball. He was dominant from the beginning today and ended up with 11 k's and the one hit.

Damn....HP ump John Hirshbeck just got smoked on the hand/wrist by a 93 mph fastball that was completely flush with nothing altering it.

He's down.

I thought at first he took it straight to the pills, with the way he fell over.

I can see that. You have a lot of key guys batting under .200, so there's gotta be some bat slumps going on from time to time. Problem for the Pirates was that all your guys hitting horribly kicked ass for three days against them.

Yep, Heyward, BJ Upton, and Simmons all had a good series. If they can put the ball in play, the lineup is really good (not on the Tigers' level tho). If they can't, it's just solid with a chance of being average.

Yah that was nasty. Still not sure how they called it a foul ball.

I almost turned it due to them talking about it. For fuck sakes 20 replays seem conclusive enough for me....the other 30 were a waste.

Yea he won't answer questions about the test. He will answer any and all answers on its handling. Everyone knows he was guilty. I'm glad this is going to come back and bite him. Hopefully.

White Sox score 5 in the top of the 15....then Seattle ties it with 5 in the bottom of the inning. All of the was capped of with a Grand Slam.
