The umpire should have realized that it was Cabrera and treated him different even though he would not shut up. The line for being a jackass should clearly run high if you are a star player.

Friend of mine is old college roommates with a MLB umpire and I have met him a couple of times when he gets to Cincy, and he has said a number of times that if you start making it personal is when you get tossed.
