Didn't go crazy in FA, still have some of the most cap space in the league. Didn't make any moves to add more picks or move up in any rounds in the draft. Haslam has come out and said "we aren't going 13-3". Banner has repeatedly said the goal is the build a consistent winner, not to build a team to compete for 1 year. They know that there were holes everywhere and that this wasn't a 1 year fix.lhslep134;1434908 wrote:So, yes. Because the post you quoted was about us trading our pick.
How are you even arguing that point? If you can honestly look at this offseason and then think that my comment was solely based on trading a 4th round pick (rather than pointing out that the front office knows we have too many holes to fill to make this team a contender in 1 offseason and so hoarding every pick in this draft isn't a priority) then I would have to suggest I'm not the stupid one.
Getting back to the draft, Rambo is still on the board. I also wouldn't mind doubling up at CB (Jordan Poyer) or OLB (Cornelius Washington) if they last another 5 picks. Don't think there are really any guards, TE, or QB with enough value to grab.

Nassib was their target and he was taken the pick before. They cut bait and traded out.Sonofanump;1434897 wrote:Why trade out when Barrett from Alabama is on the board?

Hate that they traded with the Steelers, but hopefully next year's draft is better than this shit show. Worst year in a long time

Suggested on twitter that it was the Colts 2014 4th rounder. Stocking ammo to make moves next year.

Correct. It was for the Colts 4th rounder in 2014

My post was a direct response to your post which was a direct response to us trading the pick. So sorry that I didn't do in depth research into what you meant by it.Mulva;1434915 wrote:

There's a difference between saying you know you're not going to go 13-3 and "not sure they ever really planned on winning"

Lol what a fucking douche this guy is...and just a note I already knew he was a douche.
Jamison Hensley Browns picked up 2014 fourth-round pick for this year's fifth-round one. So, two additional picks for next year for Browns. Hopefully, Banner and company is still there in 2014. FBI investigating owner Jimmy Haslam right now.

NFLN currently evaluating Browns draft. Mayock suggests we're building for a 3-5 year plan.

In all honesty, if we're going to trade picks, at least we're trading up an entire round with each pick in 1 for 1's. The only thing that stinks is that the Steelers and Colts will probably have lower picks in the rounds. At least we will have 2 picks per.

This is why other teams get better, and the Browns stay terrible. The Seahawks have gone from the bottom to near the top because of solid mid-round drafts.

Maybe you should consider doing that in the future before making a poor attempt to call someone out with a partial quote.lhslep134;1434940 wrote:My post was a direct response to your post which was a direct response to us trading the pick. I don't mind the trades..were essentially trading picks to get a pick better next year. Which also sets up well to make a trade next year.
I think they're stock piling picks to potentially trade up for their QB of the future if Weeden doesn't pan out.

If the value isn't there, it isn't there. Hopefully next year will have a stronger draft class and we'll be primed to take advantage of it. I trust that Banner knows what he's doing.se-alum;1434947 wrote:This is why other teams get better, and the Browns stay terrible.
