And, It'll work, IMO.HitsRus;1434824 wrote:McFadden is only 5' 10"....gonna give away alot of height to big NFL recievers who have all the physical skills he has. Don't get me wrong...I'm okay with the pick, just not expecting him to be much more than adequate.
Again, Cards plan to use Mathieu and his ball hawking skills at safety.....and maybe for entertainment/social director:laugh:
What did the Browns give up for Bess?

Haden is only one inch taller. Most CBs are pretty short.HitsRus;1434824 wrote:McFadden is only 5' 10"....gonna give away alot of height to big NFL recievers who have all the physical skills he has. Don't get me wrong...I'm okay with the pick, just not expecting him to be much more than adequate.

Anyway, I like the pick. I was pissed when I heard the bess trade was official, but when I saw that we just swapped spots I was pretty pleased.

Dysert in the 6th. The headlines will read "Non Rapist Miami QB Leads Browns To SB." Can't wait!SportsAndLady;1434833 wrote:No thanks on nassib or any other QB in this draft

I'd think the Browns would be targeting a Safety/TE/OL and maybe another WR today. Guys I'd like are as mentioned Bacarri Rambo and there's a safety from Oregon named John Boyett who I wouldn't mind taking a look at in the 5th, if they don't go Rambo in the 4th. Watched and read some stuff on Boyett and I really liked watching him. He's physical and makes a lot of plays at the back end on the defense. Downside is he had some kind of surgery early in the season last year so he'd have to be checked out fine medically of course. The WRs still left that I like are Kenny Stills, Tavarres King, Josh Boyce and a guy named Da'Rick Rodgers. He's from Tn Tech but he's 6'2 215 and has crazy athletic ability. Actually was at UTenn but had to leave because of team issues but he looks like he could be a stud here out of the late rounds.

Haha..just don't really see the point in taking him. We'll know this year if hes our QB for the future. If not, they're gonna spend a high pick on a QB next year. Dysert doesn't fit in that scenario. Id rather take a guard or safety to help with depth this year.

Wonder if we could get Barrett Jones in the 5th. I'd be happy with a Rambo/Jones start to today's portion of the draft.

He tweeted what McFadden said when he met with the Broncos. It wasn't a "sources" say type of thing. How would that be bullshit? It doesn't mean he's strictly a nickel corner, but that is what many teams were talking to him about.SportsAndLady;1434815 wrote:What tweets? Umm the one you posted? Who cares what some.guy on the broncos tweeted in February. Doesnt make it gospel.
Ill trust that our front office didn't draft a nickel corner in the third round to be able to play across haden.
I'll take Thomas or Rambo. I still like Tyler Wilson too. If the safeties are gone, or if he's still there late 4/early 5 I would make a move.Crimson streak;1434855 wrote:My wish list is

Haven't been familiar with Evans but liked the analysis on CBS sports.Commander of Awesome;1434861 wrote:Josh Evans or Rambo is my target with this pick.
Strengths: Has a lean, athletic build with very long arms. Attacking mentality stands out on film. He isn't afraid to get physical and competes when the ball is in the air and after the catch, always attempting to rip it out of the ballcarrier's grasp. Attacks the line of scrimmage when he reads run or when allowed to blitz, which he did effectively in 2012, recording 2.5 sacks... Good balance and lateral agility to break down and make the effective open-field tackle or when avoiding backs as a pass rusher. Good flexibility and overall speed in coverage. His ability to cover over the top allowed Elam to roam and make big plays. Improved ball skills in 2012.
Sounds like a good fit next to TJ Ward.

I can't help but love the confidence Norv and Chud have in our offensive players. They must know that Shurmur is a complete moron.
