ESPN's Eric Mangini talking about the value of 2nd rounders right now...#Browns fans are just shaking their heads at the irony

Looking at what's available what do you guys think: was the 2nd rounder on Gordon worth it?
To me it was.

And WELL worth it IMO. He's looking like a steal at that value, as long as he keeps his head on straight and works hard...hangonsloopy;1434494 wrote:Josh Gordon

Absolutely, I think Gordon was a GREAT value for a 2nd rounder.lhslep134;1434509 wrote:Looking at what's available what do you guys think: was the 2nd rounder on Gordon worth it?

Have to think if Gordon played in college last season he'd be a top WR in this draft. Maybe taken instead of Patterson last night. So we got a late first round player with our second rounder. Seems to be OK value to me.lhslep134;1434509 wrote:Looking at what's available what do you guys think: was the 2nd rounder on Gordon worth it?

I think Gordon was definitely worth it. I would have been nice to get a second pick back, but basically our 2nd round pick this year already has 1 year of NFL experience.
Could the Browns put in a 3rd round bid last year and still get him?

I heard during talks about the supplemental draft that Gordon would've been a top 8 pick in this year's draft. Gordon has 7 inches on Tavon Austin, 50 lbs, and still runs a 4.4 40-yard dash with a 36 inch vertical. Hard to believe with another year of college under his belt that he wouldn't have been the first WR off the board.mucalum49;1434513 wrote:Have to think if Gordon played in college last season he'd be a top WR in this draft. I agree, in all honesty, the offensive skill-position talent in this years draft class is significantly below average IMO. No RB's taken, 1 QB taken, and 2 WRs taken. The supplemental pick of Gordon is quite possibly the single greatest decision the previous regime made.like_that;1434518 wrote:I think Gordon was definitely worth it. Agreed. I'd make that decision 50 times out of 50 times.

It would have depended on his production, interviews, etc. Carlton Mitchell had all of the physical attributes too.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1434520 wrote:I heard during talks about the supplemental draft that Gordon would've been a top 8 pick in this year's draft. If you would rather have a 2nd rounder than Gordon you're crazy though.

The Gordon pick may turn out to be one of the best since the return of the Browns. Definitely worth a second.

Is that sarcasm?
It probably is..never seen a move you've actually liked Coa.
Ill wait to see what/who we gave up before I make my judgment however.

I agree, Bess can definitely be a contributor, both on offense and special teams as a returner.SportsAndLady;1434590 wrote:Is that sarcasm?

All moves I liked. The Falcons trade, I love that.
Hell even the Nelson signing I liked.

One thing pointed about about Bess on Twitter is that it moves Benjamin to ST. Where he'll focus on returning.

Bess is a very solid possession guy. He will make a killing on 3rd down

Bess is sure handed and gets open consistently, also money on third down.
