that's not really my point. If you're not a consensus top 10 you shouldn't be invited. They invited 20 something dudes. It's a clown show.

Not really that impressed with Lacy. He had a pretty damn slow 40 time for a RB.

I think Gio Bernard is going to be the best RB.

I don't think there were too many "mocks" that had him out of the 1st but I did hear the "he's not 1st round talent" from a few of these analysts. I heard a comment yesterday about him that would make one pause and think..."where would Geno have gone if he were in LAST years draft, with that QB pool?" The answer would probably be "3rd round" (or lower).

Does anyone know why Shariff Floyd dropped so much??

Part of me liked the idea of getting Milliner and having Milliner/Hayden be the new Dixon/Minnifield dynamic duo but I don't think u take him at 6 with the injury concerns.
I really wanted Chance Warmack but am happy with the Mingo pick. He has to at least pan out better than Courtney Brown Right???

Sure it's been mentioned but our front 7 looks pretty damn good. They'd better have a friggin awesome pass rush with that secondary though.

Rob Chudzinski
(On if a pass rusher helps the back end of the defense as well)- "Absolutely, it all starts with pass rush in this league. Like I mentioned before, you have to be able to get after the passer and affect him in that way. There are too many good quarterbacks and if they can drop back, they can still beat good corners because they still have time to throw and they're accurate. Trying to affect the quarterback with a pass rush, helps your back end significantly."

Kind of what I was getting at. Pittsburgh & New England have had crappy secondaries but their pass rush often makes up for it. Giants run a 4-3 but their pass rush the last time they won the SB covered up some serious secondary blemishes.

LOL'ing at the Geno freefall (where he belongs). Heard him on Sirius yesterday expecting to be taken "top 5."

Regardless of what they are spewing and Groves' situation, I still think they recoup that 2nd today by trading Sheard (maybe Rubin). I know you can supposedly "never have enough pass rushers" but there's way too many cooks in the kitchen at OLB and only two of them can play at once.

I think Cincy did very well, Baltimore did "meh/ok" and the Browns/Steelers have the biggest "boom/bust" potential players.
Shread is going NO WHERE. Mingo is a 3rd down player right now and really needs to bulk up. We need sheard for this season plus he's been transitioning very well. Factor in Groves being a dumb fuck and possibly cut that leaves us bare at OLBer. Rubin is the only one that I could possibly see being moved, but doubt it as we don't have the DE depth to move him. He wont be on our team with his current contract next season though.

Anyone else feel like Mingo pick was Wimbley over Ngata all over again?

Does rubin have any trade value? I wouldn't deal him to get a 5th back.

Not really. He's getting a bit older with a big contract. Plus its not like he's a sack monster. Has more value to the Browns than to other organizations.

LOL no. You need to get over that draft. It clouds your judgement. In fact if you need help getting over it, just look at the guy who agreed with you...

Based on gibby's knowledge (see: lack of) I take comfort in this.

Would love to meet Savage in person to personally PWN him for that POS draft.

How so? When Wimbley/Ngata happened, there were two guys they really wanted. Last night Dion Jordan was gone which left Mingo. Unless you're comparing the Wimbley/Ngata situation to Mingo/Jarvis Jones, which isn't even close.

No, I really don't. I wanted either Mingo or Floyd, 'cause imo we need to put more pressure on the qb to give our lb's and db's more of a chance to make plays, and these guys seem to get after qb's. Obviously, time will tell, and I hope like hell you're wrong ;)

No BR, Mingo is Wimbley and Star is Ngata in this situation. Star has been compared to Ngata the most through out the draft process.

Kind of skeptical that Star would've been their top target at 6.

Not so much the Browns target, just that Star will produce and become a Pro Bowler while Mingo is a bum.

Then the same could be said about Miami/Dion Jordan, Detroit/Ziggy Ansah & Pittsburgh/Jarvis Jones who all also passed on Star. A lot of people passed on Tom Brady too.

IMO you're reaching too much to attempt to show your frustration with the Wimbley pick. Understandable, but unnecessary.

I just hope Mingo pans out, because I'm fine with the thought process of taking a front 7 player. A good rush is more effective against the pass than a good secondary, ask the Giants.
