Just happened to click on the thread to see what Browns fans were saying about the draft. Didn't think it would be an issue to post. It's not like I was trolling.

Lol exactly, idgaf if he posts. His timing just brings the lulz. As you said, I would defend a browns player on a steelers thread as well.

Agreed. Relaxing is probably a good idea for a few on this thread. My posts were harmless too. No harm intended.SportsAndLady;1434058 wrote:Relax just playful jabbing..was harmless.

Timing was purely coincidental. Good to know we are all pretty much in agreement though.

I do like the name. Worried about lack of production in college, thouhg I've read that he was in charge of the option read, which would limit his sack production.HitsRus;1434098 wrote:...glad the Browns passed on Milliner....maybe they learned their lesson about drafting guys with injury problems. You might be another one I would suggest to put me on the ignore list. I know that you and your band of merry men will miss reading my posts, but it might be best for all of us.SportsAndLady;1434016 wrote:Lol @ iggy. I mean seriously dude why even post on here? You're not a journalist anymore. Your shock statements just sound retarded on message boards. The browns are ****ting their pants because someone they were targeting in the 2nd round (that they don't even have a pick in) was taken with the 15th pick? Lmao just shut up and go pretend you write for usa today somewhere else.
I appreciate that you think enough of my writing to assume I was a journalist at some point in my life, but like many of the other things you ascribe to me sadly it is not correct.

I'm indifferent on the Mingo pick. I think the OT's going early really handcuffed the Browns. I do think Sheard is expendable now, but not sure he will bring enough to warrant a trade. Very interested to see if the Browns can make their way into the 2nd round tomorrow evening.

Like the Mingo pick. He's a high character guy with great pass rushing potential. His production dropped last year due to being double teamed a lot and playing a more contain kind of defense, as they played a lot of mobile QBs. And I wouldn't look for Sheard to be traded, especially with Groves being arrested.

Wanted Warmack but I'm cool with Mingo.
LOL'ing at the Geno freefall (where he belongs). Heard him on Sirius yesterday expecting to be taken "top 5."
Regardless of what they are spewing and Groves' situation, I still think they recoup that 2nd today by trading Sheard (maybe Rubin). I know you can supposedly "never have enough pass rushers" but there's way too many cooks in the kitchen at OLB and only two of them can play at once.
I think Cincy did very well, Baltimore did "meh/ok" and the Browns/Steelers have the biggest "boom/bust" potential players.

can someone tell me why there are like 20 players invited to Rd.1? If you have any chance of not being drafted (Geno, EJ, Lacy, etc...) why is ESPN bringing you out there, and why the hell are you accepting that? It should only be the consensus top 3-5 guys (Heisman-esque). It was a fucking clown show last night, and I love that Geno is acting like a cry baby.

On Geno I don't think I saw a single mock that had him fall out of round 1. Usually the league polls teams supposedly to figure out who to invite. Clearly they got bad information.derek bomar;1434180 wrote:can someone tell me why there are like 20 players invited to Rd.1? On Lacy, I am a little more skeptical of that invite. On the other hand, I think the stat was it wasn't since like 1963 that a RB wasn't taken in the first round. 50 years since it last happened, so they were probably playing the odds. If one was going to go, it was going to be Lacy as he was the only one that had any buzz about being a late 1st rounder.
Cincy supposedly has big eyes for Lacy right now in the 2nd round if he is there at 37, so we may see him in the division twice a year.

[h=6]Video Analysis
[/h]Todd McShay breaks down the Browns' selection of Barkevious Mingo.
- What he brings: Mingo's lack of ideal production is a concern, and he needs to get stronger against the run, but there is no denying his potential as an edge-rusher. He has the explosiveness, flexibility and closing speed defensive coordinators covet. The way he moved in space at the NFL combine showed his ability to hold up in underneath coverage and excel if moved to OLB in a 3-4 scheme. He is also relentless chasing the ball, and he has the chance to become a more productive pro than college player.
How he fits: In this traditional 3-4 defense, under coordinator Ray Horton, this fills the Browns' biggest need at outside linebacker. It also gives them a lot of flexibility. They have a productive edge-rusher at left outside linebacker in Jabaal Sheard, and they picked up productive pass-rusher Paul Kruger from Baltimore in free agency. Mingo gives them three athletic speed-rushers, and they can also show some 4-3 fronts at times -- especially in nickel and sub packages. The athleticism that this defensive front now has is going to be very tough to block in space. Horton loves to change his fronts and bring a variety of aggressive blitzes. Cleveland wants to play fast, but under control. This probably fits Mingo's skill set
