I'm fine with the pick, no trade partners.

I actually dont hate this as much as I thought I did initially. Improves D-Line (in theory). Milliner wouldve been a waste. #2 CB at 6 wouldve been bad. This is better than Geno, Milliner, etc. We got fucked out of a trade by the 1st five picks, so I dont hate Mingo.

Mingo is an athletic freak and will play well in space. He ball hawks pretty well. I like it

You dont think Sheard is gone by tomorrow (or tomorrow sometime).

I think Browns try to move him for a pick.

Pretty indifferent here. Not ideal for me, but I don't hate it.

Bruce Irvin Seahawks 16 tackles 8 sacks. Mingo over or under 8 sacks next year?

I love the pick! There were some positions of need going into this draft and we just filled one of them with a BEAST.

How could you be THAT mad?!

Those usually turn out to be pretty good picks.

I think we'll keep him. Hes a good player, we shouldn't just send away good players because we got another one at his position. Just find a way to get these guys on the field as much as possible. Doesn't have to be every snap

Under 8 sacks for sure he only had 4 1/2 last year in college and 8 the year before

I agree. But I dont know if the Browns do. They didnt draft him, which is what I am basing that off of.

He didn't put up very big numbers last year, so I would guess people who are THAT mad would argue the beast point.

If you base your evaluation of a player on "numbers" then you are a retard.

I wanted Milliner but I'm OK with Mingo. Just hope we upgrade the secondary sooner than later.

But he is known to take plays off. Hopefully that changes.

Lombardi and Banner must love Mingo, because STL just gave Buffalo their 2nd round pick to trade up.

Considering Banner was supposedly playing the league like a fiddle today, he had to have known he could be their trade partner. Opted to make the pick instead.

Yeah, LSU was so stacked defensively I wouldnt look at his numbers. I would look at a few things:
  1. What does he look like in coverage?
  2. Does he miss open field tackles?
  3. Does he have speed to the outside and moves to the inside on his rushes?
  4. What is his closing speed?
If he passes those (and a few I am sure Im missing) then I love the pick. I havent watched a ton on him, though so I dont know. But it appears he passes all the tests and people are saying he would fall based soley on his college numbers.

Les Miles is pretty ballsy about who takes plays off but Mingo isn't on his list..
