Why mess with Campbell? If you are just looking for a stop-gap qb, just give Weeden another year.

Following Quentin Groves on Twitter. LOVE the fact that he's embracing the city/fans hardcore right out of the gate.

One of his first pictures posted as a Brown was one of those self/camera on the phone pics in his car sporting a new Browns hoodie.GOONx19;1405481 wrote:Love this too. This is his avatar right now.

When the NFL moved up the KOs to get more touchbacks that really hurt his value. He isnt a good receiver, and teams can scheme against a punt return and limit that as well. The wildcat, not just in cleveland but everywhere, has flamed out as I think alot of people expected. YOu know it wouldnt take long for defenses to stop it.ts1227;1405401 wrote:Cribs himself was tweeting thank you Cleveland and ****, so he's pretty convinced he's gone

Not unexpected but the Chiefs just released Cassel. If he goes back to New England, the "Mallett to Cleveland" freight train will be rolling in high gear...

I think they will trade him between taking the #6 pick and the start of the second round.CLEconomically Speaking;1405405 wrote:Am I the only one that thinks Sheard is gone for a second rd. pick by the end of the week?

There are two problems with Davis.
1) injuries
2) Drug Tests ( I think he might be on his last chance)

I don't think Sheard is dealt. I would actually be little more concerned about Rubin being dealt.
Also has there been any talks with Rhodes? I would think he could be a FS option.

No surprise here (because nobody pretty much EVER bombs this) but Geno Smith smoked his Pro Day completing 60 of 64 passes (two were drops). The Browns, including Lombardi, were in attendance. The Jags brass were slobbering all over him.

Problem was also that with the way the NFL switched things up as far as kick returns go, it really diminishes his worth to any team. It really hurt Cleveland that those rule changes came into effect shortly after they resigned him to big money.SportsAndLady;1405381 wrote:I mean yeah if you wanna look at it like that. We didn't sign Cribbs to "big" money. He was only making about a mil a yr or something.

Rhodes was actually on Akron's campus yesterday working out with Terrell Buckley. No idea if Browns reps were there or not.Commander of Awesome;1405680 wrote:I don't think Sheard is dealt. I would actually be little more concerned about Rubin being dealt.

Exactly. Returners are next to useless now. Especially ones that have lost a step.like_that;1405712 wrote:Big for a guy who hardly sees the field.

Yep. He was still solid at getting nice return yardage on kickoffs but he lost that extra "gear." Plays where he was busting 30 yard returns, 3 years ago would've been TD's.Rotinaj;1405715 wrote:Exactly. Returners are next to useless now. Especially ones that have lost a step.
