Sure there's other track athletes who have beaten Bolt / might be on his level, but for the most part, the majority of the population is simply behind him.

People aren't giving props to just how fast Ginn truly was. Not saying "no one" is as fast, or faster, than Ginn... rather, just trying to say Ginn's speed in college was probably the 97% percentile, if not higher. Give the man his due/respect.
Wilson could still be faster than Ginn on the football field. There's track speed which is straightline and football speed which takes into account agility.

Except that Ginn is 5'10 180. He is a finesse speedster. He isn't the guy that you throw the ball 6 yards to on 3rd and 9 and hope he powers through guys.

He's small anyway, I'm cool with it.
To be honest it was much more perplexing than anger inducing. I'm not disagreeing with you and pick who have no problem with one of our more important players taking fewer hits.

It was just so weird to see him go out of bounds 3 or 4 yards before a defender would have touched him. Most players would sneak out right before contact, not 3 yards before.

http://weblogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports/dolphins/joerose/2010/01/sam_madison_takes_shot_at_ted.html

"He dodges tacklers," Madison said. "Instead of delivering the blow, he's running away from it. That's going to get him in bad situations. When you catch the ball, you have to have bad intentions. If you look at a guy like Hines Ward, when he catches the ball he's turning around and looking up. Ted Ginn is usually catching the ball running backwards and slipping and falling. You may be able to run through one of those tackles or the defensive back may miss or fall down and then you can use your speed. But he's always ducking and dodging."
I'm going to look for some video proof of what I'm saying.

That wasn't my point. My point was that I'd much rather have my QB going out of bounds than a WR, which was in response to Pick.

Who's faster, Ginn or Wilson...does it really matter? They're both fucking fast!

It doesnt take a law student to notice the distinguishable difference between a WR and a QB. There isnt a distinguishable difference between the value each provided to their team.

There isn't a distinguishable difference between the value of Braxton and Ted Ginn??? Are you f*cking serious? That might be the most stupid thing I've read on this site.

They were both top playmakers on the team was my point. Was not comparing their actual skill level to one another. Not surprised a little bitch like you blows the statement out of proportion, though.

you were comparing their VALUE, which makes you look even worse.

Okay now I'm done responding to you.

We're talking about Ohio State Ted Ginn, not Miami Ted Ginn.

My point is he didn't change the way he played football between OSU and Miami. He still went out of bounds too early.

Except there weren't many (if any) who were faster than Ginn on the football field.

Ginn is probably the fastest I've seen in pads playing college football.

Most definitely. I was just saying you can't dismiss the possibility that Wilson could be as fast as Ginn on the football field just because Ginn is a faster on a track.

Wow, people are giving Ted Ginn plenty of props on how fast he was. Everyone knows he was blazing fast on the football field and few compared. I'm pretty sure Dontre Wilson is the first Buckeye I've heard people compare to Teddy G since he left. We'll see in 2 and a half weeks if the comparisons are valid, but nobody is acting like TG was just regular fast.

TWHPIH is headed to Canada so he can be a huge disappointment internationally after he tanks there too.

With all the hype and positive vibes swirling as Ohio State prepares for a run at the crystal football, I'm not quite sure we've taken enough time to smirk at our friends to the north.
Thankfully, our friends at MLive.com are a giving bunch as they remind us of the following:
  • It's been 3,194 days and counting since Michigan last won at least a share of the B1G title.
  • Since Brady Hoke arrived on the scene, his Wolverines are 5-7 on the road.
  • The once proud Michigan defense mustered exactly 12 sacks a season ago.
