Fine, you win. Draft a QB every year, because no quarterback in the league has ever developed over time, all the good ones were instant stars.

Ravens won the superbowl with Dilfer. Bears got there with sexy Rexy.

I'll be surprised if a game manager QB ever wins another Super Bowl. I think Weeden can be more than a game manager but it would be nice if they could run the ball a little more and not have him slinging it 40x's a game.Raw Dawgin' it;1325805 wrote:Ravens won the superbowl with Dilfer. Or a really good run game like when Seattle went. You don't need a world beater QB, but you definitely need someone who won't cost you games.SportsAndLady;1325811 wrote:And historically great defenses.

I'm with BR. I really don't see how drafting another QB solves anything. In fact, we've had what like 12 different QBs to start for us since 1999? How does drafting another QB any different than what we've been doing?
Isn't that in itself the definition of insanity?
Stick with Weeden. Get him an actual target to throw the frickin' ball to. Luck has Reggie Wayne, RG3 has Santana Moss and Garcon (when he's healthy). Hell, Cam Newton has Steve Smith and Greg Olsen. The QB carousel is not the answer.

Bingo! Browns haven't had a QB start in back-to-back season openers since when?raiderbuck;1325841 wrote:I'm with BR. I really don't see how drafting another QB solves anything. Weeden has Gordon who is better than Moss or Garcon.

Lol weren't all you guys saying this same bullshit with McCoy? Well we know he's not the answer but everyone wanted to stick with McCoy another year. That makes me lol. Weeden has shown glimpse that he can be a winning qb. Weeden has better tools than McCoy but we are ready to throw weeden to the curb after gen game but were willing to keep McCoy after 20 some games bc we haven't seen enough. What joke.SportsAndLady;1325798 wrote:Its not stupid. Hes shown no hope that he'll be anything more than an average QB. Why would we stick with that?
Congrats br u found the one person that actually agrees with u right now.

The Browns still need an impact LB. Until we get that, might as well just throw in the towel.

Very debateable. Gordon has really proven nothing. He's had a few good games but his route running is suspect. Moss & Garcon at least have a track record.sleeper;1325858 wrote:Weeden has Gordon who is better than Moss or Garcon.

Gordon would have a track record too if he wasn't a rookie. Garcon is overrated; he was only good because he had Peyton Manning throwing him the ball. Santana moss isn't even a top 20 WR.BR1986FB;1325863 wrote:Very debateable. Gordon has really proven nothing. He's had a few good games but his route running is suspect. I am so confident that the steelers lose this one that I am awaiting the vbookie to open for this game and will put all 27,000 vdollars on the brownies to win.
As I told a buddy today....the only way the steelers win is if Cleveland pulls a cleveland!

We said stick with McCoy after it was obvious rg3 and luck were not a possibility and that Weeden would probably be our pick. What the fuck is the point?shook_17;1325861 wrote:Lol weren't all you guys saying this same bullshit with McCoy? Well we know he's not the answer but everyone wanted to stick with McCoy another year. Garcon isn't good. The only reason people like him is that he's a "local" boy. He sucks; average WR at best.shook_17;1325888 wrote:Stop making excuses. You made an idiotic statement.

I find it quite funny that the pro-Weeden group thinks we should give Weeden better weapons, while it was absurd to bring that up last year when people, like myself, were saying the same thing last year with McCoy.
