Well of course there will probably be a QB that turns out better than Weeden. But do you know who it will be? Maybe we should just spend our entire draft on QBs. One is bound to be good lol.SportsAndLady;1325387 wrote:I will bet my life a QB in next year's draft will be better than Weeden.
Weeden isn't good lol idk why I keep hearing this "there's no QB better than Weeden"

They are very average to below average with Haden in. We really need a cover safety that way we can bump ward up to help stop the run which he's good at.

Agree to disagree. Name a draft where a top QB didn't pan outCrimson streak;1325403 wrote:I bet there won't be. Honestly name 1 qb that is worthy of a top 5 pick this draft. All these qb's have major major flaws. And keep drafting a qb top 5 year after year is no way to build a team at all.

Thats the problem. There isn't a Safety thats top 10 worthy either. The Browns would have to trade down, grab a CB in free agency then your safety with a trade down while recouping our 2nd round pick and then some.

I'm waiting for someone to delusionally suggest we hire Chip Kelly and trade for Kaepernick to run the spread.

2007. Brady Quinn and Jamarcus Russell were the 2 QBs selected in the first round. LOL.SportsAndLady;1325448 wrote:Top 12?

I think the Browns hire Chip Kelly, bring in Kaepernick, trade Richardson for another first round pick, draft black mamba and draft Barner to replace Richardson. Browns go on to win the division 14-2.Mulva;1325455 wrote:I'm waiting for someone to delusionally suggest we hire Chip Kelly and trade for Kaepernick to run the spread.

I like the Browns defense much better. Skins will try to plug in new pieces like they always do with Snyder and continue to be mediocre. Browns have a chance to improve on what they are, I dont think the Skins do...and they arent THAT far ahead of Cleveland as it is.
And RG3 getting injured would absolutely matter. But thats a giant risk you take when you have him as the QB
Rotinaj;1325350 wrote:Serious question here. Who's the last successful nfl QB who had a .500 final year in college? I admit I haven't watched much of Geno but he seems to have disappeared in some big games.
Just a random guess at the first name that popped up into my head. But what were Eli, Rivers and Cutler in their last year? What was Tom Brady? I honestly have no clue, but I know the first 3 play for non-powers in power 6 conferences, so they mightve been mediocre record wise.
Way to many to name. But most notably (at least off the top of my head), 2007 with Quinn and Russell.SportsAndLady;1325434 wrote:Agree to disagree. Name a draft where a top QB didn't pan out

So 6 out of the last 12 years isn't the common. It's 50/50 that's not good odds at all

Hasn't happened in 5 years though..when technology, social media, scouting, etc. has all skyrocketed. We'll find a good QB in the top 5.Crimson streak;1325471 wrote:So 6 out of the last 12 years isn't the common. It's 50/50 that's not good odds at all

I assume we will have to wait for Auoita to "finish" his "job" with RG3 tonight, so we can see his fail response.Laley23;1325469 wrote:I like the Browns defense much better. Ok well that's pretty tough considering there was 2 QBs taken in the first 47 picks lolCrimson streak;1325475 wrote:2010? Bradford hasn't done shit in the nfl yet
Bradford isn't a stud, but he's still better than Weeden (and younger).
