I would consider a win over a team in the top 30 at the end of the year a quality win. I feel that Michigan will be in that ranking by the end of year, so it would constitute a quality win.

Just my opinion.

I mean it had been 20 years before they finally won a bowl game against Hawaii. Good win. The next step is not to lose by 20 in a BCS bowl game. Win one of those, then I think they'd be ready for a title run.
S&L I think you're a smart guy and all, but this is pathetically illogical.

Well I did, and I'm a Bucks fan, so shut up. Weak conference + superior talent + superior coaching = should win every game

No just someone who understands that the players and coaches on the 2012 squad weren't around for 95% of 1994-2011. Saying that teams need to take steps up before playing for a national championship is asinine and illogical. This is 2012, they aren't carrying the deadweight of previous years. That's what fucked Auburn in 2004, TCU in 2010, BYU in 2009, Utah in 2008 etc etc etc.

This is Notre Dame, with a team loaded with NFL talent and the #1 scoring defense in the country. They need to win a BCS bowl first?! LOL

I would hope a young man plummeting to his death due to the coaching staff's negligence would be their worst nightmare, but I guess I can see how another team's fan base not giving them credit for a national title would be worse.

Stanford is now without question a quality win. I thought it was before but it definitely is now.

An unexpected dream season came to a nightmarish end tonight. I'm still proud of Notre Dame for making it to the BCS title game. I think better days are ahead. Go Irish Congrats to 'Bama. They were clearly better. Believe the SEC hype.

I went thru the pain last year in the title game. Until Saban is gone, this is what the nation has to deal with. He has an unfair advantage. When you get all the top players/top recruiting classes.....you are going to win titles.

Being a good coach doesn't hurt either.

The best coach in the NCAA and with number 1 recruiting classes every year just isn't fair. I really hope saban goes to the nfl lol

Saban develops that talent too. Dont forget that. Usc had some amazing classes that never panned out. And lets not forget the 08 class that OSU had. Talent is one thing, winning with it is another animal.

We got whooped plain and simple by a far better team. Still proud of my team for doing what nobody thought was possible in playing for all the marbles. I took away that we're back to being on par with the rest of the nation. We can beat top teams in B10, B12, P12, ACC....but none of us can beat the SEC. They're just on a different level.
