You are easily disappointed. Winning the national title is nowhere near a worst nightmare, I don't care what the circumstances.

Worst nightmare would be hiring Rich Rodriguez and going 3-9...oh wait. :cry:

They could get by USC, cause Lane Kiffin sucks. But I dont see them winning a bowl game regardless. Unless they get matched up with Louisville.

I agree. It's fucking strange. My old roomie texts me weekly about OSU, attempting (and failing) to get a rise out of me.

The kid needs to get a life. His team is undefeated and apparently "back," yet he's worried about what OSU fans are discussing. :laugh:

Honestly, other than the Pick6 and Lotz spat about lube and moms and etc. nothing in this thread has been bad, imo.

I mean, its trending towards bad, which is why I gave a warning. But if you keep it how it stands, I dont see an issue.

That wouldn't happen. All projections point to ND going to the Rose Bowl if they don't make the NC game...so they would be playing a B1G team in the BCS, not an ACC team.

Not trying to stir the pot. And "worst nightmare" is more of a hyperbole than anything else.

Don't get me wrong, I would be ecstatic if ND won the NC this year or any other year. I was just having a conversation with a buddy about how frustrating it would be to have to constantly try to defend that NC against the more outspoken OSU fans who would discredit the win by saying that "OSU was undefeated and would have won if they were eligible."

I decided to post this on a college football forum that I frequent in order to discuss it with the Notre Dame fans that I interact with weekly throughout the season. Last I checked, this isn't OhioStateChatter.com

I knew there would be other people weighing in, which is fine with me. It doesn't bother me one bit. Sleeper was able to discuss it without being an ass, so I'm not sure what's so difficult to grasp here?

Am I not supposed to post topics to start a discussion?

I wasn't even trying to instigate. When you look at things objectively, it's apparent that a lot of OSU fans don't care for ND and don't like to give them credit. Which is fine, to each their own. And it's not very often that a team on a post season ban does so well. So when you combine a fan base that doesn't like ND, with an undefeated season in which said team doesn't have the shot at playing for the title, the question is going to come up if OSU would have beat ND. My question was simply if other ND fans would be annoyed by that.

Hypothetically, if I lived in Florida and UF was in the same situation as OSU, I would have the same question.

Do QB's normally play against each other directly? Maybe you should compare Barkley and co to ND's defense and Golson and co to Southern Cal's defense.

Would not be a nightmare at all for me. ND (and any team really) could win a national championship and still have detractors. That won't change the fact that they're the national champions.
