Closer market just doesn't seem to be that great. A little while ago, the rumor was straight-up Porcello for the Pirates' Joel Hanrahan and the impression I got was that the Tigers wanted something more.TBone14;1347115 wrote:Don't like that at all. The Dodgers will only be interested in Swisher if they can move Ethier and nobody wants his contract.

He turned down a 1 year $13.3 million contract from the Yankees, I would be stunned if he took a 2 year deal that payed on a fraction more than what he would have gotten for just this year.I had heard before 2 years 16 million

All of what I've seen has centered on 4 yr/$48-52 million. Early reports thought that he could command $60 million.
I think the Phils or the Rangers will come in at the last minute, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I love it. He is going to bring that A's/Yankees approach to the plate. Take pitches, work pitchers and draw walks. Swisher probably walks more than anybody who isn't a typically power hitter.

Theyve done more this offseason then they have in the last 5 years combined. Im not even going to count the CC and Lee trades that brought right next to nothing.
