Haven't seen much of him but what I have was impressive. Guys on RCF follow him more and blast the guards at Maryland for not knowing how to play with a true 7 footer. Think that if teams go purely on stats he could drop in the draft because of his non-dominant performance. But with guys like Kyrie/Dion he could thrive.
I'm torn on Noel even before the injury. He fits a definite defensive need but is so raw (more than Anthony Davis) on offense. And how will he play with Tristan on offense? We've seeen Tristan blossom with a center who has to be guarded away from the basket because he can hit a jump shot. With Noel on offense the center can cheat off him and double team Tristan therefore taking away another option.
I probably sound like a broken record by now but I'd take Otto Porter with our pick and look at Isaiah Austin with our second pick. Dude is rail thin but atheltic and a shot blocking presence. I saw somewhere that said Austin has wingspan of 7'4". Even if he gets backed down his leaping/blocking ability would make people think twice shooting over him.
