And not one of those teams you beat will win a first round playoff game...they can only thank the OHSAA that 8 teams get in!

Good point. So last year Norwayne lost a game, and only beat 1 playoff team. This year they soundly beat 3 playoff teams.

Outscored opponents 52.9 pts to 7.8 pts. Only played the first string offense (and usually defense) in 2 - 4th quarters. Rarely threw a pass in the second half of any game.

I'm not sure of the exact numbers but they typically would run the first string offense for 2 drives in the 3rd quarter and almost never threw a pass in those 2 drives.

CatsFan said "caliber of Norwayne," not "caliber of Norwayne's schedule"

Neither schedule was especially strong, but they were close by comparison according to the final points. And, yes, they both beat playoff teams. Many are picking Hillsdale to get out of the first round as the lower seed.

Speaking of Girard, what happened to them this year? WOW! Going 11-2 last year and barely losing to Norwayne in the regional final in Norwayne's craziest playoff game (including the state championship) ... then in 2012 going 1-9. Wow. I know kids graduate and a talent pool can run dry, but that's one of the most drastic changes I've ever seen.

Yea they were super young and inexperienced this year. They literally graduated probably 20 out of 22 starters plus their kicker.

Beachwood is a lot better then Edgewood. Brookfield can and should beat them. They still should move the game so Brookfield has time to prepare

i agree, and the game should be played at the pit. what did teams in high school do before anyone had turf? now all of a sudden we cant line a field if its wet, bull!

They haven't moved EVERYTHING to turf, just some schools whose fields are completely trashed.
