Notre Dame is simply not a good team. Not good at all.

I have a serious question to ask. Yeah, I know the basement of a message board is the most appropriate place to ask it.

WHy do people get so riled up over college football? I mean, they just cannot seem to discuss it civily, or semi civily, and it is always a big time mess. Other sports people have their differences and may go bad for a few days but people get over it, move on and such, but not with CFB.

They always say never discuss religon or politics because those two topics are lightening rods for intense arguments, but man we almost have to add CFB into that mix

I don't think people get riled up over college football in general, it's just that a message board unto itself is a lightning rod for all things subjective or objective. Make sense?

We do discuss civily. Notre Dame is not a good football team. That's not trolling; that's the truth. If ND was winning BCS bowls and relevant games, and I kept saying ND sucks, then I would be trolling.

I really dont care about ND or any of that. I am just saying that even on JJ back in the day, the most nasty, and irrational discussions, seemed to always be in the CFB forum. It became unbearable to sift through many times.

However, you're not being inflammatory in this thread, so it's not trolling. Starting the thread by calling it "Ohio State Buckeyes" and following it up with an original post having nothing to do with Ohio State, but using inflammatory language to describe other team ... that's trolling.

If they were doing that you would be making up more lame excuses to bash them much like you do for every other team. They did just beat a team from the mighty Big Ten. A while back you included Purdue in the list of quality opponents for Ohio State, I'm guessing that has changed. Or you will use the stupid "they didn't game plan for them cause they are worried about tough Big Ten teams like Indiana and Minnesota" excuse?

Purdue is a good team who played a bad game. Similar to what happened when Ohio State barely lost to Florida or LSU; bad game by a great team supplemented with a great game by a bad team.
