We're going to go to .500 now and things better get hot soon (besides my blood pressure) or this is all over and we limp home, again.

Things were going good tonight until about 8:40 when someone popped in to post a comment.

Then, the wheels fell off.

Just messing with ya, Crimson! ;-)

Indians averaged 2.57 runs per game this week. And they scored 10 runs in one of them.

Yeah, the Orioles are 39-0 now when coming into the 9th with the lead.

Blah!

We will end up finishing in 3rd.

The Indians have scored three runs in the series so far...all solo home runs. It is nearly impossible to get anything going when you have so many black holes in the lineup. .230 hitters just don't cut it....especially when you are paying one of them $14 million a year.

It's absolutely disgusting that Hafner has made $57 million over the last 5 years. Another solid move in the career of Shapiro.

The "big 5" in recent signings over the past 5 years.

Hafner
Sizemore
Westbrook
Santana
Carmona.

As a fan, I applauded every one of these moves at the time of the signings. I don't blame management, I blame the damn players. If it was the NFL, they would have been cut...contracts for the most part...not guaranteed in football.

We'll be lucky to win 75 games this season--mark it down.

Tomlin on the mound today to try and keep the Tribe heads above water.

I don't have much faith, though.

Sure did. Especially the Carmona signing. I thought the tribe pulled a major coupe with Fausto at that time. If you remember Carmona had better numbers than Cy Young CC Sabathia that year. I honestly don't remember exactly the time frame when Sizemore was extended. But Sizemore's numbers his first 5 years was much better than even Kenny Lofton. People forget how good he was.

Why these players went into the shitter is not the management's fault.

I think the problem lies with re-signing Grady THIS year, not his previous extension.

And Zach McAllister has turned into the best starter on this team. Very underrated job this year by him.. Would love to see him turn into a legit starter for the long run.

the previous contracts were not the problem and were actually very good deals. the problem was re-upping both of them for this season for a combined 12 million when one (carmona/hernandez) had just come off a crappy year and been revealed to be three years older over the winter and the other (sizemore) who has proven to be made out of glass.

not spending that 12 million on right handed stick has crippled this season and that you can blame on shapiro/antonetti

We have to win these 2 games vs Baltimore. We have to face fister, sherzer, and verlander against the tigers. So we're gonna get swept
