This question was never answered.
Footwedge;1173738 wrote:Citing "useless things like statistics" LOLOL. What do you base trade value on? Eh Slick.
Once again, you can't read. He didn't call statistics useless, he called batting average and saves useless.
Footwedge;1173756 wrote:Yeah...winning a batting title is worthless...as is winning the save title. Folks...the dude really said that. LOLOOL. Tee it back up Slick, I'll give you yet another mulligan.
Now here comes the sabre metrics nonsense that Billy Beane uses to put out a perrenial loser. LMAO.
Mooney44Cards;1173851 wrote:Hey guys Billy Beane is a perennial loser with his 5 playoff appearances is 7 years with one of the bottom 3 payrolls in all of baseball.
At least the facts agree with you FootWedge.
Proven wrong again.

You are the one that listed one stat...i.e. batting average...asking which is more valuable a 250 hitter or a 325 hitter. That's what you asked...and as it stands..only an inebriated person would ask.
pnhasbeen;1173865 wrote:Actually, post #14 was the first time the one stat...i.e. batting average...was brought up. Guess who said it?
I'll give you a hint...it was you.
Boom. Roasted.
Footwedge;1173874 wrote:Maybe so...maybe not. A young Perez vs. an old first baseman who's stats have remarkably declined is certainly subject for debate. Thus the thread I created. Like I've said 7 times or so...one would have to be an idiot in tasking a chance on Tex. Colletti agrees with me...not that that means much.
Indian fans have learned a hard lesson with the Ubaldo trade. Doubt management screws up like that again.

'11- 156 games, 39 HR, 111 RBI, .248 BA, .494 slugging
'12- 35 games, 5 HR, 19 RBI, .232 BA, .399 slugging
Perez: '09 32 games, 0-1 record, 4.32 ERA, 1 save
'10 63 games, 2-2 record, 1.71 ERA, 23 saves
'11 64 games, 4-7 record, 3.32 ERA, 36 saves
'12 16 games, 0-1 record, 3.68, 12 saves
Even though Texeria's BA has dropped the last couple years and he's had a shitty season thus far, he still has a greater value than a closer.
Remarkably declined? Games played are similar, home runs are similar, RBIs are similar, slugging is pretty close. The only stat that has declined is batting average. Wrong again.
Footwedge;1173891 wrote:No offense Hoop....but I would be 5-2 with Ubaldo's run support. Let me know when your cousin Ubaldo breaks 5.00 in his ERA.
pnhasbeen;1173904 wrote:Ubaldo starts, Indians win, ~5.3 runs per game
Ubaldo starts, Indians lose, ~3.2 runs per game
His run support isn't that great wedge.
Speaks for itself.
Footwedge;1173929 wrote:Fake stats? What fake stats? And if you have a problem with nixing Perez for Tex trade, then call up Chuck tomorrow and let let him know.
pnhasbeen;1173930 wrote:The fake stats, he is referring to you ignoring the significance of sabermetrics. No need to call to "nix" the trade because the trade would never fucking happen.
Which is shown above talking about billy beane.

Not on the west coast, old man. And I just told you where you were wrong. Your "opinion" has been proven wrong with facts multiple times. 162 game season, lost a couple to Cleveland. I'll be alright. We were a 100 loss team last year. Think I care?
