You want "the cold heart mathematical stats" as you call it...then here it is....
We are not talking means, modes or medians. We are talking run support. That's it. RUN SUPPORT for Ubaldo. That's it!!. I busted you, and then you attempt to change the rules on the debate. Sorry, but you lose.
Ubaldo's run support is 5.375 per game...about 1.2 runs higher than the rest of the collective starting staff. Your half assed effort to try to justify your flawed logic is a disgrace...Admit you fucked up..and then move along. Until you do, you are nothing but a complete fraud that has no business debating sports and mathematical statistics.
You do realize that the erroneously posted stat actually changed in MY favor, right? They weren't way wrong. You just can't fucking read. I did a split stat you ignorant fuck. My original post gave you the run support for games Ubaldo starts, Indians win. And Ubaldo starts, Indians lose. Now, it's obvious from this thread that your old ass is so narrow minded and short sighted that you merely look at one number and base everything off of that. But those that have brains that aren't diminished by old age understand that baseball isn't a game you can judge by one stat.
Oh yeah, and this whole not talking about mean, median, and mode, this is about run support. Guess what dumbass? Run support is a NUMBER which means the mean, median, and mode actually do have a part in understanding it. You're probably just too old to bother with understanding how that one number you oh so love is found.
The original statement you made:
Footwedge;1173891 wrote:No offense Hoop....but I would be 5-2 with Ubaldo's run support. Let me know when your cousin Ubaldo breaks 5.00 in his ERA.
I actually ignored the ignorance of thinking you're worth a fuck because I understood what you meant. I then went ahead to show that you are fucking stupid. You are saying that he should have a better record because of his run support, but when they lose with him on the mound, he IS NOT GETTING RUN SUPPORT. That shouldn't be hard, even for a dumbfuck like yourself, to understand. You are focused on one fucking number that isn't very important. The two outliers that make his run support seem so high, were games he WON. The fact of the matter is, in the games the Indians have lost with him on the mound, they have scored 4, 2, 2, and 5 runs. And once again, that average is only 3.25 runs per game. Which is below that number you said was the Indians average.
Your failure to look at more than just a single number is the reason you continually fail at this thread. You focused on Teixeira's batting average, Perez's save numbers, and Ubaldo's run support. You ignored all the other key components to this complex game.
I know you're going to come back with some stupid bullshit that "it's one number, blah blah blah." But you are saying if he was good, he would win more games with run support. There's only ONE time this entire season where the Indians scored MORE than their season average and Ubaldo lost. ONCE. All your bitching about his run support is fucking stupid.
Put your glasses on old man and see if you can understand all that. I'm sure it will go over your head.
