PBF is a great fighter, but lets not act like he isn't scared of Paq. PBF's excuse about having to ensure his health for his families sake is hilarious!!

Besides...Mayweather hasn't fought outside of LV since 2005. Manny would be ****ing stupid to agree to what would be a hometown fight for Floyd
A hometown fight for PBF would be Detroit

lol, what are you talking about? He's P4P the best boxer in the world...

I don't think people are comparing him to Jon Jones?

I think there's underlying reasons why the fight won't happen that nobody wants to talk about.

I've said it before, but look at this way...the only story line that keeps boxing (somewhat) relevant is "when will Pac and PBF fight?" If the fight happens...there is no more story line for boxing to cling to in order and the sport slips even further into obscurity. Basically, a PBF/Pac fight will end the sport, IMO. And nobody wants that to happen. So they take turns making the other look like they are ducking the fight so that the controversy can keep on keeping on and the sport can get some exposure. The fight won't happen because there will be no more "mega-fights" to look forward to afterwards and the casual fan will give up on boxing altogether.

Yeah they should say that then, because there are so many dudes out there that would beat him in a fight. He is one of the best boxers in the world no question though.

Fact is, neither boxer is scared of the other. To think that is incredibly ignorant.

The politics are the reason the fight isn't happening. Bob Arum being the biggest.

Boxing stays more relevant with Pac and PBF not fighting. Right now, they have two major draws. If they fight, they have one major draw. Neither side wants to risk losing their cash-cow in a fight that could very easily go either way.

If there were more big PPV draws in boxing, there might be more incentive to make the fight, but there's not. These two are it.

lol, exactly. PBF fights in Vegas because of the $$$ and Vegas IS boxing. However, he's rarely a crowd favorite.

Yep, boxing is done, has been. They only have themselves to blame.

Well then he's not the baddest man on the planet, of the best fighter, that was my only point. Not trying to take anything from him, nothing he can control.

Put PBF in the octagon, he loses. Put a MMA fighter in the ring against Floyd and he loses.

You're trying to pick a fight between MMA and boxing and nobody is even bringing anything like that up.

That's like picking beef against a baseball announcer because he called a baseball athlete the best player in the world... Would you hold beef with him over that in regards to comparing him to NFL or NBA players? lol.

Its apples to oranges. Like comparing a Marathon runner to Usain Bolt. Same general sport, completely different ways of competing and going about it
