Yeah, I missed the big inning. Nice surprise to wake up to though. 4-0 on the road trip. Keep it going.

Masterson is good and a possible #1. But he just isnt an ace.
At least, not yet.

A BIG IF, but IF you can believe what the Indians are saying and Hafner is not limited this year due to his shoulder and is healthy enough to make it through a full season, the Tribe's line-up has a chance to produce. Druby at 2 and Choo at 3 will be getting on base, Santana should improve on last year's season just with more experience, and even more so with a healthy Hafner hitting behind him. The 2 bombs Pronk has hit this year were reminiscent of "pre-injury/roids" Pronk. Let's hope we get to see that for 140+ games this year. Without him, the offense is probably going to struggle.

Yeah, Hafner absolutely crushed that dinger over the weekend. Didn't see the first one. If he can stay healthy (huge IF) their offense could be better than expected.

I guess. But I dont see it. I see possibility for a #1. But not an Ace. But then again, I think there are about 6 Aces in MLB.

Halladay
Verlander
Kershaw
Lincecum
King Felix
Lee (on another team)

Weaver and Sabathia I can go either way. Weaver has better #s than CC. But Ive seen CC just groove pitches when Yanks are up 6. Just throwing strikes.

Then you have a lot of very good #1s (and 2/3 on loaded staffs):

Price
Hamels
Cain
Strasburg (unlike Masterson, you can see him becoming an Ace in the top 5ish category)
Masterson
Shields
Wilson
....ETC

Haha. I had him typed. Misspelled his name, deleted. Then moved on to Lincecum. SMH. I did say 6 Aces and then put down 5. Thats my proof.

@MLBastian: CLE RHP Jeanmar Gomez suspended 5 games for intentionally hitting Moustakas w/ pitch last Sat. Gomez will appeal & start Sat in Oakland.
What a crock of shit.

For the second straight night, our starter has struggled mightily. Hopefully the offense can pick them up again tonight. Lowe actually did a decent job to keep that last inning at one run.

The home plate ump has been atrociously one sided with some of these strike calls.

Lowe struggled a bit as well. Our pitching as a whole hasn't been that impressive. Lowe has two good starts and Ubaldo and Masterson each have 1. Gomez would have had a great start, but yeah.. lol.

Carlos did nail a Kawasaki trying to steal 2nd with a strike from his knees.

Tomlin pitching well, only an unearned run through 6. However, King Felix is doing what we expected him to do. Only one hit so far.
