Just like the title asks

All of our meat comes from either what I kill (mainly venison) or from Carfagna's

http://www.carfagnas.com/

The only thing I don't get from there is bacon.

Various cat shows around the midwest. You'd be surprised how much meat comes from a prize ragdoll.

carfagna's is a great place I go there on occasion but not one near my house
used to be a family place on the corner of broad and waverly where i used to coach but they shut down
Now i go to Mosleys meat market on hilliard rome near the corner of roberts. very friendly family operation.

that being said im not too much of a snob to grill out meat from giant eagle or kroger as well.

If someone came over with a few nice cuts of meat to grill, I wouldn't have a problem doing it. Thing is if you catch the right sales at Carfagna's, high quality cuts of meat can be considerably cheaper than a box store. Like right now they have whole New York Strip loins for $4.79/lb and they will cut it into steaks with your specifications for free. That is the price of really cheap shitty steaks from a box store.

I used to shop at House of Meats for my meat.

Now, I just go out to a restaurant when I want steak, hamburger, etc. I pretty much only eat "red" meat.

You get what you pay for LJ. It's $4.79/lb for a reason, don't buy into the marketing.

I really like getting the mostly prepared stuff from carfagnas like the stuffed chops, or stuffed chicken breast or peppers. used to go there a lot when i lived at easton. you can stop in there and get a meal that can be made very quickly at home that tastes like a lot of work, for a decent price.

Whitefeather Meats in Creston, Ohio. I buy from a farmer I went to high school with. He sends it to Whitefeather who processes it. Buy my pork, beef, bison & chicken there. Would like to get ahold of some venison, elk & moose.

My family gets all of our beef from our cattle herd. We have a family friend's business do the butchering. When my dad gets it done (2 cows a year probably) he hooks me up with however much I need. So I never buy beef.
