Well I lied. I have this one turned on. Valverde is awful. His luckbox season last year was nauseating to me.

That was a pretty weak effort by Swisher...

OSU's defensive problems tonight spread to alum Nick Swisher.

That actually looks like an Achilles. I know the ankle turned, but you don't get carried off with an ankle sprain. Instant pain would make sense with a rupture...

Not sure why he didn't try to go to 1st. Probably wouldn't have had him, but at least worth a shot I think.

If Phelps doesn't touch that, does Nix get the runner at home? May have been similar to the Cozart play before the slam.

Can Valverde come in again for the 12th? I need some more drama...

Tigers don't put it out of reach, if that is even possible this October!

Great effort and technique by Berry on that foul ball, even though it was unsuccessful.

Delmon Young really handles interviews well for such a volatile guy.

Big win for the Tigers with Verlander still having two starts on full rest left. Yankees would be better off now if they would have just lost 4-0!

Jeter done for the year. Might be done for his career with that injury. Can the Yankees overcome this?

Jeter apparently broke his ankle and is done.

Valverde is finished as a closer IMO. His velocity is awful and he's leaving everything high

I think Leland thinks there may be something physically wrong with Valverde - at least he alluded to it last night and said he'd announce before the game today how they are going to handle their bull-pen now after the bad outings he's had lately.
Last night Giardi said Jeter's injury would take 3 months to heal, but was not career threatening.

Yankees got hosed and then Detroit scored 2 runs because of that. Then 2 strike calls on Cano that I personally thought sucked

Yankees are hitting horribly. I mean I know we've got good pitching but they can't hit a damn thing. Also they easily have the worst crowd for a playoff game I've ever seen. Oakland was awesome and so was Comerica, I was pretty sure most Yankee fans were napping the last 2 days

I think the Yankees are still WAY ahead over the years in the "calls made for/against them" department.Ironman92;1295371 wrote:
