Hell, they may not even be the most talented team in the SAME city to not make the playoffs.

Underachieve is code for overrated. They aren't the most talented team. Not even a debate.

Really hoping the AL Wildcard isn't Baltimore - Oakland. I hope one of them can pull out a division.

Whatever, I understand you just don't like the talent of the Angels. So we will agree to disagree.

Same thoughts for NFL and NBA?

NBA is practically already like that. NFL, no. You don't play all 16 teams in the conference.

You ok with an 8-8 NFL team winning a bad division and getting a home game against an 11-5 WC team and also having a 10-6 team not in the playoffs?

Interesting. Despite the addition to the playoffs with the second wild card team, the final day of the season there are no playoff bids up for grabs.

No, but you can't compare the NFL to the MLB. No correlation.

Despite different scheduling setups each league has lesser teams making the playoffs due to their formats for earning playoff berths....the only correlation I was shooting for. NFL is the superior product.

I wouldn't mind the NFL establishing a minimum record to make the playoffs. The fact of the matter is the NFL is the only league where divisions are necessary.

Reds won't play Friday. Braves/Cardinals play the wild card game. I think the Reds first game is determined by whether they win home field from Nats. If Reds win home field, they'll play Braves/Cards on the road Sunday. If they don't, I think they play Giants on Saturday.

lol im pretty sure everyone has seen that story. One that some may not know is that I read a tweet from mathew berry saying the Reds have moved Hamilton from SS to CF for next season. I put this in the reds/cards thread but figured more would see it here. SOOO glad, ive had enough of stubbs.
