This should be a wake up call for them. They may not be the best team in the Big 10 any longer. They got exposed tonight. Disappointed by their effort tonight. Looked terrible.

26% won't win you any games. We didn't deserve this one. Move on

The positive thing is that there are only a handful of teams that can expose OSU. Tourney draw is huge this year. Last year OSU could beat anyone. This year they can't.

Well here is my two cents on both this game and team. Thank goodness it's still February, so we still got a few weeks to work on our weaknesses before the tournament. In my opinion, I think it was more us rather than them. The looks was there, and our defense was overshadowed on how well they played. We just were ice cold. So though a tough lost, I wouldn't panic. If you look at good teams across the country, you will see some have stretches like this during the season as well. At the end of the day, what is done in March and early April is what matters.

The shots weren't falling, but Dan Dakich nailed it. No patience at all.

I'm sorry, but championship teams don't get rattled that easily. It looked like they panicked with about 15 minutes left and just started throwing up the 1st halfway decent look they got. Basically no offense being run at all.

I still think OSU could make the Final Four. Just depends on their draw.

Saying OSU cant isnt an elite team after one loss is dumb. They literally couldnt have played any worse.

If you can't hit your wide open and/or easy shots you are not going to win many games. We had no business being in that game close to the end and I think we played as about as bad as we could offensively. This game really didn't upset me other than MSU getting those offensive boards. I did find it hilarious when Dakick was taking shot at Teddy V though.

Like it's been said before, our offensive performance was downright horrid. I turned to my friend today while at the game and said that I never have been so un-confident in our ability to score points. No one was hitting threes, and to be honest, Sully played like crap as well. He was getting bodied up and kept trying to force it. It wasn't like our defense wasn't playing well, we could be patient on the offensive side to get the best shot. Craft was the only one who really showed up today, and he has his own problems with shooting, so it's not like he's going to carry us all the way back.

The one thing that made it worse was that I was sitting right behind the MSU parents/cheering section, and there were these three MSU guys that were absolutely being obnoxious. There's one thing about friendly trash-talking, and for the most part, I respect Izzo and his squad. They just wanted to make me throw haymakers. 'Twas quite annoying.

The good thing was that despite our horrendous showing our offense, we were still in the game with 5-6 minutes left. I got to give respect to Izzo's team on the offensive glass and guarding Sully because they did a very good job on those two facets. Other than that, they weren't leaps and bounds above us. Like the Kentucky game last year, we just had an awful game on offense.

I don't think the sky's falling, and we can definitely look forward to making baskets in the future. However, I don't think that this team is as good as last year's edition. I read an article on SI about how we were the best team in the nation, and it boggled my mind. We just don't have that consistent shooter that can bail us out when we down by multiple points. Like in the Kansas game, we got down and fought back, but we could only do it by shooting two's. Without that three-point shot, we're doomed when we get down big. Sparty definitely exposed our weaknesses tonight, and I hope that Matta can work on solving them before the tourney starts.

I sat behind a basketball players mom(I think it was Jamelle Cornleys) when we played Penn State one year, she was truly one annoying bitch. To start off she tried to ditch everybody in line getting into the game because her "baby was playing". Everyone bitched at her and the guy at the entrance said no dice and made her get back to the end of the line even though she threw a fit. Then she jumped up and down and hooped an hollered every time her son scored even though we were beating them by what seemed like 30. It became really apparent that she just wanted attention because she had a son that was playing.

We all know they played good d. But osu missed a ton of open shots and bunnies. Msu has nothing to do with those.

This is the best summary on the thread.

Buford and Thomas did take some bad shots....but they also missed a ton of good shots as well. I tip my hat to Sparty though. Paine was a real pain.

Cuse, Missouri, UNC, OSU could all play with UK and definitely wouldn't lose by 15+.

They just look real good right now because they play in the SEC
Are Kansas and UNC in the SEC? UK beat them, while OSU lost to Kansas. OSU couldnt even put up 50 on their home court today, so Im sure UK could beat OSU by 15+

Well Kentucky is 1-1 vs the Big 10's #5 and #12 team. So you could be wrong.

Who said he was my player? I just enjoy the way he plays the game, I enjoy Kobe's game too as well as quite a few players.
