I read the Deadspin stuff on the dead fighter, where it has the video from, I think, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's coverage of the death. During that fight, pretty much anyone involved should be banned from the sport. Ref didn't seem to care that the dude was definitely not right and let him take a shit ton of unnecessary punishment and the doctor seemed to spend more time in between rounds checking his phone than checking on the well-being of the fighters, while the coaches seemingly ignored all the "something is actually wrong with this guy" signs to make sure he went out for the third round.

The fight video link is also in the link I posted. I was shocked watching it. The referee and the doctor's actions ringside were just unimaginably bad. The cornerman was also at fault here why the hell did he not throw in the towel let alone forcibly held his fighter up and you can even see him turn to see if the referee noticed it.

Frankie is just steamrolling Cub through 4 rounds, not even competitive.

Jesus what a dominating performance. What the hell was Frankie doing at lightweight getting beat on by bigger dudes and having to battle back. Guys his size are at such a disadvantage.

As dominate of a performance I've ever seen at any weight class. Frankie was on point last night.
Bobby Green disappointed me, he got worked over.

I think he could make 35 too, which is nuts. Great performance by him for sure. He cannot take Aldo down though, so I don't think he has much of a chance in a rematch.

Green is so annoying to watch fight acting like every strike didn't hurt him, but he probably is trying to annoy his opponent. He got worked though.

He trains with the Diaz brothers, obviously their rubbing off on him.

What they (Green to a larger extent last night apparently) don't get is that simply walking forward and not getting knocked out doesn't mean you're winning.

I liked what Cub said to Frankie after their fight, "thanks for making me better brother."

McGregor should fight Edgar, IMO.

I think he'd get wrecked in a similar fashion. Hasn't faced a wrestler yet. I think Mendes and Edgar are nightmare match ups for Conor.

I think Aldo would also put a hurt on Conor.

Why would you want to kill off a contender like that? Frankie already lost to Aldo, Conor hasn't fought him and that is the absolute biggest fight in FW history. I could actually see Conor beating Aldo, I can't see Frankie winning that belt from Aldo.

How could you see Conor doing it? I don't see him 1) out striking Aldo or 2) getting him down.

Knockout or TKO. I see that fight in Aldo's favor for sure. He would probably hit Conor three times for every one time he got hit back. Some guys can win taking three and giving one, Conor at FW might be that guy.

If Aldo was smart he would do nothing but throw kicks and back away in that fight. Conor isn't going to try to wrestle him and Jose can just chop his legs off.

Whatever you think of Conor, that guy is an elite striker, his movement, speed and power are top notch. He makes a great point about how most fighters use the traditional Muay Thai stance and stand right in front of guys. Look at the way he moves, he came out and threw a hook kick at Poriers head that barely missed right off the bat in their fight. He also has tremendous power and accuracy. Aldo was getting tagged up by the much shorter Mendes, I could see Conor out striking Aldo and catching him and putting him down.

The UFC has signed a 6 year sponsorship deal with Reebok, huge deal.

Sounds like it could totally screw over fighters and their sponsors.

Also - Hoping for Melendez and a Lawler victory this weekend.

Reportedly all of the money, which is supposedly 120 million, will be distributed to the fighters. Also they get 20% of any sale that involves apparel with their likeness on it.

UFC 181 is awesome this weekend, a must buy no doubt.
