That's surprising, most of the people I've talked to have been split on it. Whoever can implement their game will probably win and we should know early. If Lyoto can control range he will win, if Weidman can make it dirty and mix it up with wrestling and ground and pound he will win. The difference to me will be the speed factor, Lyoto is so fast and was already hard to wrestle at 205 against bigger guys. Weidman can win but he will have to set up his takedowns perfectly.

I really think Weidman will win pretty easily. He's a -200 favorite in Vegas so if you like Machida this is a good fight to bet.

How do you see it playing out?

I just hope it's not a Davis/Machinda type fight where nobody really lands anything clean.

Also, Aldo has pulled out of his fight with Mendez due to a back injury. That sucks, but it doesn't seem too serious as he is starting rehab and it won't require surgery.

I don't think it will be like that. In that fight Phil kinda danced around the outside throwing strikes that were block or that missed and tried to steal rounds with takedowns at the end of the round. Weidman will most likely move forward and pressure.

I hope so, that is when Machida strikes.

Does anyone seeing this playing out like the Bader fight?

No because Weidman has a high fight IQ. He may get sloppy at some points but I don't see him making that mistake. He could still get KO'd though. If Lyoto lands any of those head kicks he landed on Gegard on Weidman he is going down.

I see Weidman smothering Machida. I think some of you are seriously underestimating how good Weidman is.

Lyoto is one of the hardest guys in mma to take down and hold down. Even Anderson was able to stuff a takedown and work his way back to the feet against Weidman. Weidman isn't really a guy who will hold you down, he tries to land hard ground and pound and goes for submissions. Remember in the first Anderson fight he went for a leglock within like 30 seconds of being on the mat.

I am a big fan of Wiedman and Machida, tough one to call. I almost wish Weidman wins just to silence the "it was a fluke" idiots with respect to his two Silva wins. On the other hand Machida is just so fun to watch.

Faber is on the prelims for two reasons. One, try and bring in viewers on FS1 and two, he gets PPV bonus's aka a cut of the profit.

Weidman
Rousey
Struve
Hall
Doane

So Stefan Struve fainted and is out (ie Struve vs Mitroine fight is out). Has this ever happened before? Will they do a partial refund?

When LeBron gets injured and leaves the game, the basketball game still goes on and you still witness 48 minutes of basketball. When 1 of 5 advertised fights is cancelled, there's only 4 fights.

Your comparison is shit.

That was a ton of fun between Uriah and Santos, a lot of speed, power and technique.

Your mom always gives the "full service" as advertised.
