The two main events really delivered. The Hunt KO was awesome. I can't stand Struve. You're 7 feet tall and you fight like you're 5'5. Dude has mount twice and couldn't finished not to mention he's a foot taller and couldn't keep distance. For a guy so tall, he sure gets tagged a lot. Love that hunt got big win, wouldn't mind seeing him against some of the better guys in the division. Mir, DC, Carwin, Overeem, Nelson, etc.

Bummed Stann lost, but that was a hell of a fight. I also thought Gomi won, i was shocked he didn't. I can't stand Okami, he's another lay and pray guy who gets tagged more than he should. I thought we were gonna see a Boetsch repeat in the third.

Struve had his jaw broken by the Hunt TKO

The two main events were fun to watch. The Silva/Stann fight might have been the most exciting stand up fight since Griffin/Bonnar.

I also believe Gomi got hosed by the judges.

Dana agrees, he had a tweet questioning how Diego won that fight.

Honestly I thought Diego won as well and the announcers were just making it sound like Gomi was winning. At one point they said a Gomi body hot hurt Sanchez but what really happened was Sanchez returned the body shot on Gomi and Gomi backed up holding his side. It was clearly Gomi who was more hurt from the two shots. I don't know if the angle the announcers had was bad or if they just really like Gomi. When we were watching I even pointed out the one sidednedess of the commentary. I would be willing to bet if you watched the fight without the announcers you would honk Sanchez won.

Here are the fight metrics

Round one

Gomi landed 8 more sig strikes but Sanchez landed 2 takedowns

Round 2

Gomi landed 4 more sign strikes but Sanchez had the octagon control

Round three

Gomi landed 6 more sign strikes

So pretty close fight overall and sometime Ina fight that close the fighter pushing the pace is rewarded

Diego looked like shit imo, he needs to turn back into the nightmare, because the dream isn't getting it done. He called out Nate Diaz after the fight, Nate would destroy that Diego that showed up saturday.

Diego needs to stay active, apparently he had to cut over 50 pounds to get to 155, which he missed weight when he weighed in at 158. That may have contributed to his poor performance but I have never seen him go backwards the whole fight like that, normally he is constant pressure and in your face.

Rua vs Lil Nog and Hendo vs Rashad at 161. Really hope Hendo KOs Evans. Hopefully he won't back up the entire fight and get points for avoiding.

AWESOME pic.

Struve is just an idiot. Dude has all the talent, but for whatever reason he just punks out over, and over, and over again. Absolutely ZERO reason he should have lost to that shmuck. Any of the other top heavyweight contenders would have straight up murdered that fatty midget.

Also, the Brian Stann vs. Wanderlei Silva fight was easily one of the best fights I've seen in awhile. What an intense bout. Was pulling for Stann, but both guys were throwing to kill, and Stann just couldn't seem to keep his footing while throwing his wild punches. Excellent fight tho.

Hunt has won his last 4 UFC fights with 3 by ko or tko so he isn't really a fatty midget. He has also beat Rothwell and Kongo.

Hunt is one of the best strikers in the world, let alone the UFC. Anyone who gets tagged by him is going to sleep.

Because he doesn't have anywhere close to as much of as it as GSP. GSP might be the most highly compensated UFC fighter ever, even above Anderson when you count in his sponsors, endorsements, etc. Monetarily speaking, GSP does not need the Anderson fight at all.
