I don't feel this whole saga was scripted but damn its played out like it was. Wow.

Diaz lucked out with this fight, as it works out for his style. Even if he loses it will be exciting and people won't care that much. Dana had to punish him for his actions so he hit his pocket book by taking him out of the main event. He has dealt with fighters for a long time so he is willing to give second chances. If he had wanted to screw him he would have given him Fitch.

I think this is bad for the fans. One Condit is good but does not match up as well with GSP as well as Diaz. Two if Diaz beats Penn then you have to try Diaz vs GSP again creating another fight before we can get GSP vs Silva. I think Dana never really wanted the Diaz GSP fight right away to begin with as he usually likes to bring fighters in let the UFC fans get to know him them give him a title shot.

Dana knows what he is doing, Diaz is arguably the most exciting fighter to watch in all of MMA.

I gotta disagree with ya there. I know I'm a Brock homer but, w/o a doubt he is the most exciting fighter in MMA right now.

Get off Diaz's nuts for a second and think about what you just said.

I think a qualification for being mentioned for that should be that you have to fight top talent. Diaz has not. The best dude he beat was a past his prime Frank Shamrock.

sorry bro but hell no, I can name atleast 15 fighters who are more exciting than Brock. Although I will say that Brock has the biggest buzz and hype leading into his fights.

Don't talk shit to me for one, for two you are wrong, just knocked out top ten Daley at the time who is the most dangerous striker in the division.Diaz is the only person to stop him with strikes and did it within a round. Daley lost to Koscheck in a number one contender's match in the UFC. Koscheck laid on him for 3 round, Diaz went out and fought him.

You wanna talk about competition? Jon Fitch's best wins are Thiago Alves twice and Ben Saunders who is now in Bellator, but everyone proclaims he is the number two ww in the world.

My brother thinks Dana is trying to build up the hype for GSP/Diaz but I can't agree with that. If that was true he wouldn't have Diaz fighting someone as good as BJ.

I also think Brock is one of the most exciting fighters Crosby.

I dont think Brock is exciting really. He gets a huge buzz and has many many fans ect. But his fights are usually him sprinting at the other person, tackling them and punching them to oblivion. I mean tis effective, but not exciting to watch really

Can agree here.

I guess I just have a hard time rooting or even wanting someone like Diaz to get high profile fights because of the way he acts. He's a jackass.

However, dude at least brings it when he does fight even if I think he's slightly overrated for the competition he's fought. So we'll see. Him and BJ should be good.

Well I mean he has dominated the guy's he has fought but hasn't fought the elite guys yet, this is a huge test. These guys are pretty evenly matched with BJ having fought the tougher guys.

You are a moron if you think GSP was scared to fight Diaz.

GSP got absolutely blasted by Matt Serra and he couldn't wait to fight him again, why would he be scared to fight someone who he hasn't lost to?

Oh come on...

Jon Jones
Jose Aldo
Junior Dos Santos
Shinya Aoki
Melvin Manhoef
Leonard Garcia
Nick Diaz

I could keep going, all more exciting FIGHTERS than Lesnar. Now, Lesnar is definitely talented, he is definitely polarizing (meaning he brings a ton of fans, both fans and haters of Lesnar), he definitely does have exciting fights. However, I can easily keep going, there are at least 7-10 fighters more exciting than Lesnar.

I think the most exciting guys to watch are Jon Jones (Almost every fight he has been in has been exciting) Brock (his physical power and raw talent are almost unmatched). I would give mention to the following as wellCain, Rampage, Belfort, and Anderson Silva. Really any of these six could be the most exciting fighters as long as they have a good matchup.

If you think Jon Jones only was exciting in his last fight you need to watch more fights. He has yet to have a boring fight in the UFC. He destroyed Stephan Bonnar even though it went to decision. He broke Vera's orbital bone. He absolutely destroyed Matyushenko. He hammered Bader in the standup in rd 1 and then submitted him in rd 2. He then destroyed Shogun.

Please don't say he has only had 1 exciting fight, that shows you haven't watched this guy. What's next, Shogun or Cro Cop didn't have any exciting fights in Pride?

Oh come on...

Paulo Thiago
Diego Sanchez
Luigi Fioravanti
Brock Larson

Just because you haven't heard of them, doesn't mean that AT THE TIME of the fight they weren't top 10 WWs.

GSP is scared to fight Silva as well. The closest he came to taking the fight was when Silva had the three or four matches where he looked beatable. As soon as Silva started to look good again GSP went back to now isnt the time in his career. He will not be willing to fight Silva until Silva looks old/beatable. GSP is in a poor weight class and isnt eager to prove his skills beyond that class. Other fighters have went up such as Penn, Silva, and Rua why cant GSP.

I think 185 is actually worse than 170. Both Silva and GSP should move up.
