Perhaps he realizes that consideration of for the position will cause much scrutiny by some like you and then some like skank. I'm always intrigued by out-of-state coaching candidates. Why do they want to leave where they're at? How'd they hear about the job? Did someone at McK reach out to him?
I'd say he and Todd Filtz (Maple Hts.) would be the first 2 I'd want to interview and measure the rest against those 2. but with a committee of 15, you wonder if any candidate will get majority support.

No, I can't name any candidate or their qualifications, black or white, and the fact that there were no black candidates that "out-qualified" white candidates is grounded in the fact that a black man can't get experience if he can't get a job because he's black. And in the past several years, the NFL has instituted a policy that teams should at least make an effort to interview minorities for head coaching positions. If RJ was fired because he is white, that is very, very unfortunate especially considering his accomplishments. But as I said before, "unfortunately, sometimes, karma does come calling" not necessarily on him because it is not to suggest that he is a racist, he may be innocent in that regard, however, that's how it goes!

How about we not call this "karma" and say what it really is? Canton is a racially fragmented community...a school made up of predominantly African Americans athletes and white coaches. That's always going to foster some kind of resentment. This is an ugly situation that wont have a good outcome until someone comes in and takes control of the program..and gets the kids and the supporters to cheer for the color of the jersey, not the color of skin.
Give an African American a shot...Gold seems well-qualified...maybe the community can get behind him....it's just sad that Johnson had to be forced out by some pretty transparent motives.
Series...I know what you think of how things are done here in Orrville. Times that by about 100 and that's Canton McKinley.
