Not necessarily "better" but a more realistic option would be Todd Bowles.

And as far as Lombardi? Guy is a snake.

@DMurph_BrownsPR: Trent Richardson's 5 rushing TDs are the most by a #Browns rookie in the team’s first 8 games since 1969 (RonJohnson, five)

http://www.draftcountdown.com/sub/Mock-Draft-A.php - CLEVELAND BROWNS: JARVIS JONES, OLB, GEORGIA

http://football.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/29553/20121027/2013_nfl_mock_draft_version_20/ - 3. Cleveland Browns: Jonathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State. [LEFT]
lol at taking a DT, probably the area of our greatest depth. Risdon continually proving to be an asshat.

Damn it would be nice if they were in a position to trade down a few, get Jarvis Jones and find a way to trade back up for Manti Te'o. We'd have a helluva linebacking corps.

I think we're set at LBer. I want a monster DE, or a legit FS. SICK of watching Ward get lost out there. Safety is our weakest link on def IMO. Ward is a glorified LBer out there. So I want a stud DE or trade down for one of the top safeties (Reid or McDonald).

to be honest, Ward fucks up some, but I dont think he is used right. I really see him as a Polamalu-type. Also, Ward is SS, not FS.

Ward got torched on that dropped easy touchdown...not sure on who the receiver was.

I would [adsense] my pants if they could pull that off. Although, we already have a ILB though. Somebody would have to make a transition.

I disagree with safety being the weakest link, however if we could do BR's above scenario and get Jones + a legit DE, I would also [adsense] my pants.

He is a poor man's Polamalu-type. He isn't great, but he isn't as bad as COA is making him out to be. Definitely not bad enough to make it a high enough priority to get a new safety.

Meachem. Ward didn't even try to cover him. He clearly fucked that up.

Brutal in coverage and hands of stone. I think he dropped three pick 6's his rookie year. One was gift wrapped by TheRapist. Good against the run though.

Yeah he does fuck that up a lot. He's a SS but they have him playing FS. His coverage skills are some of the worst in the league IMO. Get a legit FS in here, moving him to SS upgrades two positions with one pick.

And yes like_that, it is the weakest position on our defense. Followed by LOLBer (Maivia, SMH) but once they start playing Robertson and Fort more it will be better. JMJ looks like a keeper, we get Gocong back next season, OLBer is no longer a priority. DE and safety, biggest need IMO followed by an NFL caliber guard and a WR.

I agree with your first point. Move him to a real SS position, he will look a lot better. Still not sold on using a draft pick on a FS though. Offense still has some needs too. I'd be ok with trying to throw some money at a real FS in FA though.

Solid point about Gocong. Forgot about him, however I am not sold he will get back to his form as soon as he is back.

What FS will be available in FA? You want another Usama Young? Abe Elam? I sure as hell don't. Spend the draft pick and get a STUD FS. I doubt Baltimore and Pitt regret using a 1st on Reed and Polomalu.

Haven't really looked at the FA list, but I think reed is one lol. I just think there are much bigger needs in the first round than a safety. If the Browns get a safety in the first round I would hope they traded down before making that pick.

If Andy Reid gets fired, do you think the Browns would go after him? Would you want him as a coach?

Obv we differ on needs for the Browns, so I think safety is a big need. DE is #1 (hell just a pass rush in general. Stud OLBer is there I wouldn't QQ), followed by safety, guard, then WR.
