Hmmmm....so Sims didn't get released but was traded?

Eagles acquire S David Sims from Cleveland for a conditional draft pick in 2013. To make room on roster, the Eagles released G Julian Vandervelde (per Adam Caplan)

I could honestly see anything from 0-9 to 4-5 at the bye week.
I think it will be 4-12 as well. I think they may win one divisional game....I have a terrible feeling that week one is going to be a big time blowout.

4-12 sounds about right but I don't see a blowout week 1. Browns are damn good at losing by 3-7 points and I see that happening once again.

Heckert has shown himself to be an ego-maniac sadly.

Marecic was an outright waste of a 4th rounder, so he wouldn't cut him even though I suspect Smelley would have proven to be a more valuable player.

At this point sadly it seems that being one of Heckert's guys is more important than the talent you bring to the field as far as evaluating who stays and who goes.

What happened with Evan Moore? I always thought he was supposed to be real good, I dont remember him getting a lot of passes thrown his way last season, and this season he doesnt even make the team.

Liability. He can't block, and when he's on the field it's obvious the browns are going to throw.

Real good in comparison to the Browns other receivers in 2010 maybe. But it isn't that hard to look like a good target in comparison to Chansi Stuckey.

My bad about Cooper, there was a tweet from Cooper's family member I believe that represented he made the team. Browns players were tweeting away about their position.

Moore also can't stay healthy. Being made of glass and playing football don't go hand in hand.

Anyone else think the Richardson injury has sucked the life out of the fan base this pre-season.

A few months ago it felt like there was alot of excitement for the season, now that the pre-season is over it seems we are all resigned to a 3-13/4-12 type season.

What changed in that period? Only thing I can think of is that the Richardson injury has seriously put a wet blanket on what people think this team is capable of.

No.

I think most fans are out of delusion land and realize this team still has A LOT of work to do to be competitive. A 28 year old QB and a injury prone RB wasn't going to make this offense that much better.

Off topic, but for avid WKNR listeners, the Bostonian has passed away.

That's too bad. He and Ken in Brooklyn had been banished it seems from KNR radio for a few years now it seems. They used to call into Reghi's show all the time until he got paired up with Roda, and then exiled to 9PM every night.

I disagree with you. The realistic fans realized that, but I think "most" Browns fans are overly-optimistic homers that overrate the talent that actually exists on the team. It's definitely been dampened. Not just by T-Rich, injuries and suspensions as a whole are being used as a convenient excuse right now.

That's more or less of what I was trying to say.

I think we just disagree on the intelligence of the average Browns fan. We've been bad for so long that people go overboard with any sign of hope.

As an FYI, 15 of the 53 man roster are rookies while 33 of the 53 have three years or less.

Oklahoma St beats Savannah St 84-0. OK State has really gotten better since their grandpa stopped playing quarterback.
