amen to this. i don't get it. i know they have the divisions set up years in advance. but if you are one of the shitiest teams, you should have an easy schedule. its bullshit.lhslep134;1146388 wrote:Not much to mention besides it's hard as f*ck. 3rd hardest by opponents winning percentage from last year.

This is the formula for percentile rank
Formula:
PR% = L + ( 0.5 x S ) / N
Where,
L = Number of below rank,
S = Number of same rank,
N = Total numbers.
If Pomeranz is ranked 6th out of 25, the formula becomes this:
19 (numbers less than 6) / 25 (total numbers)
That's the 74th percentile.
Footwedge, you're SO DUMB. You've proven to be the mathematically challenged one, and I can't even fathom what your response will be.
I believe this is what some on the interwebz call a PWN.

BR, you say a bunch of rookies can't come in and make a difference. But a qb can because he "has a big arm" vertically? I mean I don't need to read anymore, because you are contradicting yourself. You are making McCoy out to have some high school arm, which just isn't true. He had NO weapons, his receivers DROPPED balls, and his line was ragged. Your argument is just wrong, and off base.BR1986FB;1146397 wrote:Not necessarily. One (current QB) has limited physical limitations while the other doesn't. I'm in the minority but I think Weeden beats McCoy out in a training camp competition.
I'm ALL onboard with Trent Richardson at 4 and will be kinda pissed if they take Claiborne but ya know what? If they stick with McCoy none of that will matter. Logically one would think that T-Rich would open things up for him, correct. It won't. Teams will key even more on the run, crowding the LOS, and then it's ALL on Colt. Beat me if you can/ I don't see it. A QB with at least a threat of a vertical attack, with Richardson, will open things up a ton.

You typically do. But we have 6 games in division against teams from the playoffs last year (obviously the only team that can say that), then NFC East. The only breaks we get are playing the worst teams from the AFC South, AFC Eastshook_17;1146403 wrote:but if you are one of the ****iest teams, you should have an easy schedule.

My opinion is wrong to YOU. McCoy doesn't have a "high school arm" but he also doesn't have an "NFL arm."DeyDurkie5;1146407 wrote:BR, you say a bunch of rookies can't come in and make a difference. I'm not inside NFL locker rooms but I'd be willing to bet my left nut that there's not too many D-Coordinators in the NFL saying "oh shit...we have Colt McCoy this week...how are we going to defend him?" Pretty easy...stack the box, take away the run and try to take away the underneath stuff and dare him to beat you down the field.

How much more simple does it get?
By ignoring the mathematical formula I posted you are literally arguing against provable fact. That is not only stupid, but doesn't make any sense at all. You want to have a different opinion? Fine. So, what the fuck is up with the schedule? Why do the Browns always have to open up at home for fucks sake? Also, why the hell are they playing the Eagles week 3 of the preseason (where the starters play 3 qtrs), and then 2 fucking weeks later they are playing the regular season opener? That is a joke.
Anyway, I know there is a lot of bickering here, but one thing we can all agree on, fuck the steelers, and all their piece of shit posters (except heretic, he is solid).
So you have to be old to act like a dipshit? Got it. Also, if anything you older guys actually had the luxury of enjoying winning eras. We haven't had shit. STFU with your old man bullshit. If you think that is your "edge" in any of your arguments (which in most cases it already is), don't post, because you already failed miserably.Footwedge;1146213 wrote:BR got a little sick and tired of people in their early twenties telling him to fuck off. Now BR and I disagreed in our opinion....on what McCoy is...and what he isn't. We disagreed on other things too. But BR has my respect because he has been through the Cleveland sportscrap a loooong time.
Some of the little kids fresh out of college that spew their crap need to learn some manners.
Nice to see you back BR. Sorry, but you don't draft a 28 (29 in october) y/o QB to run for a "trial run." Especially if that draft pick is in the first or second. Fuck that shit. I hope the chiefs or seahwaks draft weeden so we don't have to add that to the list of fail draft picks by the Browns.BR1986FB;1146333 wrote:Nothing. I really have no idea what they are going to do. They're fucked if you ask me. Whiffed on RG3. If they draft Tannehill at 4 it will RUIN this franchise, imo.
Unless H&H have a "wink/nod" deal with Lerner, they are in a pickle. Don't likely have their franchise QB and are facing a schedule with likely 1-3 wins. By my math 5 wins to 4 wins to 1-3 wins does not bode well for this regime. If they move forward with McCoy as the starter, and HEAR me out, and they win 1-3 games, somebodies head is gonna roll. If they were to start a rookie (Weeden, etc) that would at least buy the staff another year with the "rookie QB" excuse.
What some may not realize is they could use one of those picks on a Weeden, throw him into the fire on a "trial run", see if he looks good moving forward with as their QB and if not still have a high enough pick to draft a QB next year. If they move forward with McCoy (doing nothing about the QB position) and he fails, it may not be as easy to explain to Lerner. From that interview he (Lerner) had earlier in the year, I didn't get the feeling he was a McCoy fan.
I want no part of Wilson, Cousins, Kellen Moore, etc. That's no "competition" for McCoy. That's just handing him the job again.

Also, so you don't try and spin your definition: in the list of 25, each rank (the variable) carried a distribution value of 4....25 x 4 = 100. There's your 100 equal groups. I feel like I'm teaching a 3 year old.

It seems as if it is becoming a tradition for the Browns to play the last game of the year at home vs shitsburgh. Watch the one year this game is finally a "must win" game, it will be in shitsburgh.
Also, Merril Hodge on ESPN just said that week 17 game will decide who gets the #1 overall pick lol (between colts and browns).
