Still hearing Dallas has major wood for Claiborne...the package would likely be Dallas 2012 1st, 2nd & 3rd along with a 2013 2nd rounder to move down to 14.

2013 NFL Mock Draft selection: Trent Richardson, RB

The Browns are in shambles. They have no quarterback, and no one wants to play for them if you believe certain reports. The only way Cleveland can get out of the AFC North cellar is if it completely bottoms out and drafts a franchise quarterback like Matt Barkley.

Barkley is the overwhelming favorite to go No. 1 at the moment, but a lot can change in a year. He took a big risk by going back to school, but the reward of banging hot chicks at USC could be well worth it.

If the Browns are in Shambles, what were they 3 years ago in Womangini's first season? These journalists are idiots. I don't understand why people think it is so easy to turn a franchise around. No one expected the Browns to be contenders right now. They have been taking steps in the right direction ever since Heckert has been gm. Shambles..... GTFO.

Give me their 2013 first rounder. Time to earn back that first rd pick we gave to them in that Quinn trade.

Considering we have 13 draft picks as it stands right now, I'd say first next yr would have to be included.

Really? I don't see how we move back that far without getting their 1st next year.

Agreed, especially if they have serious wood for him.

I'd like a 1st but I would still take that deal. Would have two 1st's, two 2nd's, two 3rd's, two 4th's, two 5th's, three 6th's AND two 7th's in this draft....that's pretty friggin sweet.

That would be sweet. I could see the Browns trading back up to the first round for a third first round pick if this happened.

I still want that 2013 first rounder though. Fuck the Cowboys. I trust Heckert will be pushing for that 2013 first rounder too.

That's way too many picks IMO. Our 4th rounders couldn't even see the field last season.

I doubt he'd use them all but it gives a lot of room to maneuver.

I know he's looking like a turd but if he slides WAY down the board, I could see them using one of those throwaway compensatory picks on Burfict. Not that I necessarily want Burfict but those comp picks are where you take your "fliers" on questionable players that may be disposable. If he pans out, great...if not, nothing lost.

I would easily take Burfict with one of those picks. Late picks like those can be franchise changing if they pan out.

Think I may have mentioned before that Heckert probably wishes he had one of those comp picks last year to use on Sanzenbacher who chose the Bears over the Browns. Those comp picks are also nice to use on guys you might not want to take a gamble on making it to UDFA status.

If we had all those picks, what do you think it would take to get back in the first round. Lower first round. I was thinking a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

It would be nice if...just one year....the Browns could land a Sanzenbacher, Welker, Cobb, Antonio Brown type player in the late rounds. I think Page would be a great 5th rounder.

Browns had dinner with Justin Blackmon & Mo Claiborne last night. Paired them up so Blackmon could read Claiborne the menu...;)

http://www.cleveland.com/ohio-sports-blog/index.ssf/2012/04/colt_mccoys_visit_at_a_high_sc.html

Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy made an appearance at a high school in Springfield, Ill. last month. He was there for the school's annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes banquet.

There was no issue with that. What did become an issue is that McCoy threw passes to some of the high school students, including a football player. The state could view the pass and catch by McCoy to the high school football player as the high schooler gaining an advantage.

Dave Kane of The State Journal-Register writes how Rick Sanders, coordinator of athletics for District 186, contacted the IHSA and raised questions about whether McCoy’s passing workout represented an illegal practice for SHG.

“We were straight up with (IHSA executive director) Marty (Hickman) about it,” Leonard said. “Colt McCoy came out and was a great role model. He talked about what it takes to be a man.

“We had some kids who were out of study hall. Some of the kids didn’t even play football. It was a once-in-a-lifetime chance for them. We’re not making a big deal of it. We don’t want to force the issue. It’s in (the IHSA’s) hands. We’ll do what they tell us to do.”

Pathetic. Can't believe this is even an isse.

Stupid. McCoy can't throw the ball better than a high school QB anyway.
