Just as he did at Bowling Green and Utah, Coach Meyer made it a priority to establish a relationship between his team and the general student body on campus.
“Part of what makes college football so exciting is the youth and energy that can be drawn from campus life. I want our players to realize that is part of the collegiate experience - to be a part of the student body here at the University of Florida.”
To that end, Coach Meyer sent invitations to every campus organization leader on campus prior to his first season inviting them to meet individually with him. Fraternities, sororities and student groups had a chance to get to know Coach Meyer much the same way potential recruits do – in a personal setting.
“I want the opportunity to listen to them. To hear them tell their story of how they became Gators. I want them to get to know our coaching staff and our families and value their input in the program.”

COACH MEYER REACHES OUT TO FORMER PLAYERS
Coach Meyer has extended an open invitation to all former Gators to be a part of the current football program.
“One of the special things about being a Gator, is you are joining a family for life,” said Meyer.. “You should be treated special if you made an investment in our program. We want to any former player to know that. You are different and will always be welcome back in our program.”

Coach Meyer has started several initiatives for former players. Before each season there is a alumni reunion and Barbeque. Former players are also welcome to return to Gainesville for the season opener and form a tunnel on the field as the team takes the field. The 2006 season featured another event for former Gators, a special dinner for all former Gator captains. The Captains Legacy Dinner was held the night before the Homecoming game.
So what you are saying is that UM has traditions that he has done at every school before? NO FUCKING WAI?!

Lol...scared to reply?? Sorry, I have a job, and can't just sit around waiting on your lunacy. So he wrote similar letters at other schools? You made it sound like he was just recycling an old letter w/ a different school name. They look like different letters with the same intentions to me. You've been very difficult since your lord and savior took the job at OSU.
