But, with Ainge stating a few weeks ago that he would be willing trade parts of the Big 3 to add assets, I would be very surprised to see the Celtics trade off both picks in this draft.

Alonzo Gee is quickly becoming a fan favorite, he is a completley different player from last year and hes still only 24.

1. After Irving, he's definitely the best player on the team. And when you count the rebounds, hustle and flopping, you could say he's currently the best. At least the heart of the team. Regardless of what some may say about his defensive "tactics", he gets results and helps the team. And serves as that "glue guy" who does all the little things a team needs if they want to win.
2. If the goal is to trade him for more draft picks, the more he plays and the more he does, the more you'll get for him. The longer he averages a double-double with starter minutes, the more appealing he'll look to teams looking to get over the hump as the season goes on.

I have to believe 2 pieces away. The #3 and #2 need upgraded. Gee could potentially fill the 3. He has to be in consideration for most improved player, imo. One can't help but not care about competing for the 8 seed in the Eastern Conference. Making the playoffs in the NBA isn't an accomplishment. It's statistically harder not to get in.And the standing image: one that can’t help but convey the idea that this team is one scoring threat away from becoming a playoff contender.

A playoff appearance for the Cavs would be be bad in the sense that it would have them picking outside of the lottery and good in the sense that it would give the young guys (particularly Irving) playoff experience.
