I just didn't want a Euro. I didn't care who it was at that point. They did well, though, for sure.

That's how I felt too. IMO when the draft is weak after the top 3 picks, I didn't feel like anyone within the top 15ish would have been a reach at 4. Hell I would have been happy with someone like Kawhi Leonard at 4 just because there was no clear cut choice.

I'm still not a fan of the pick and disagree with the "2 best players" comment, even though it's way too early to judge something like that.

Who do you think was a better choice at 4?

I wanted Irving and Kanter. Once Kanter was gone I would have traded down. My opinion then and now was/is that you don't draft defense and hustle with the 4th overall pick.

I believe I posted at one point that there weren't 5 guys in last years draft that I would have taken in the top 10. I would have liked a trade down to the 10-15 range, taking Klay Thompson or Tobias Harris.

I would have also preferred trading out for a future 1st round pick. I would rather be picking 12 this year than 4 last year, but that's just my personal opinion. I still think last year was a horrible draft. Thompson has been OK but nothing special.

Speaking of the draft though, I just saw that Moe Harkless intends to enter with an agent. Add him to the list of small forwards I wouldn't mind the Cavs to get. I really feel like some combination of Lamb/Beal/Ross at SG and MKG/Barnes/Jones/Harkless at SF will be possible if the Cavs are willing to package that Lakers pick and make a move up into the 14-20 range. Should be a really fun team to watch next year if they make good decisions.

Easier said than done! We arent the only ones who knew the draft last year was weak. Who was somebody going to trade up to #4 to get?? No way that would have happened, let alone get an additional 1st out of it.

It wouldn't be an additional 1st. I meant either/or with those scenarios. Not trade back and get a future 1st.

It would have been unorthodox and a huge risk to trade the #4 for a 2012 pick when they didn't know who that would be, so I definitely don't blame them for not making a move like that, but it's something I would have done. There were shitty teams (New Jersey, New Orleans) that didn't have 1st round picks last year and may have wanted to jump into the lottery at the expense of a future pick, even realizing how poor the draft class was.

Bismack Biyombo was part of a draft day trade as the #7 overall pick. There are always ways to get trades done. Give up/take on a large expiring contract, toss in a role player who fits a need on another team (like Sessions), etc.

Kyrie needs one rebound and now 1 assist in OT for the triple double.

How anyone can think Tristan wasn't the best available at #4 is beyond me.

And you act like Tristan has no room to grow as an offensive player. That's what is so hilarious. He can use either hand around the basket, can dunk over anyone, and is relentless on the glass.

Not to mention his defense.

He was the PERFECT pick at #4.

Why the fuck would you trade down in a draft that was weak to begin with? Who the hell would you rather have? Jimmer? LOL

Kanter was gone at 3. So he has nothing to do with Tristan.

I think I must have missed this inside joke/sarcasm, but did someone say that or do you really think he sucks? Reason I ask is because I just recently saw this on ESPN's power rankings:
Will I be voicing my displeasure about Omri Casspi's dwindling minutes with Byron Scott when the former ESPN analyst and I next cross paths? You know me too well. Not that I expect to win the argument, mind you, knowing that Lord Byron loves new starter Alonzo Gee more than any other Cav not named Kyrie Irving.
Personally I think that guy hasn't seen a Cavs game this year lol

Definitely sarcasm. Alonzo is very good for us. Young, explosive, great perimeter defender. Shot has improved a lot.

He's not going to be a star or big time player, but he fills a role on this team. He'll be a very good role player as we continue to get better.

Jamison.... SMH.

Fouls Smith to give him a 3 point play shortly after throwing up some GARBAGE. Then bricks an open 3 pretty badly...
