10-2 at worst, undefeated and national champion at best.

14-0 and national champs every year for eternity. OSU settles for nothing less (or maybe 1 title every 30 or so years, close enough).

And to think fathobbit said this about you

"I'll second that. There are several of posters here who are not OSU fans and are pretty good posters even when I don't agree with them. Webfire is definitely one of the better posters."

Consider the OP. Certainly you don't take this topic seriously?

I knew what you were doing at the begginning of your post, but ( "or maybe 1 title every 30 or so years, close enough").......usually they dont like the cheap shots.

I'll take one national title every 30 or so years over a half title every 60 or so years. Twice the time for half the titles up at Michigan. ;)

In all seriousness, I hope people expecting a title run next year are joking. The Bucks will contend for the B1G title (like they did for half the season this year) and a BCS bowl. Anything better would be a bigger shock than the 2002 team. I expect about a 9-3/10-2 season. I think Meyer will have the Bucks contending for national titles, but it may take at least 2-3 seasons.

10-2 at the worst, B1G champs. Anything less than this is a bust because Fickell could go 8-4 or 9-3 so if you're not going to better that record then why change coaches. Big money demands big results, I hope Meyer can stand the heat. I think that he is one of the 3 best coaches in the game so I expect him to win right away because the cupboard is not bare.

A lot of derpy comments on here.

I expect Ohio State to be in a BCS bowl next season, but not in the national championship.

you act like there is some huge difference between playing in the Rose Bowl or the national championship, its usually just one game.

He's a Notre Dame fan. There isn't a huge difference between making a regular bowl game and a BCS bowl game, they both result in embarrassing losses.

For next year, I think about anything could happen from undefeated, to 3 losses. OSU returns just about their entire defense. Offense returns A LOT of skill players. The only real concern, and it is a big one, is the offensive line. If they can someone shore that area up, they could be pretty darn good IMO. No matter what, its going to be fun and exciting with all the changes.

And honestly, with the way things are going, every title game is just going to be SEC champion vs. Alabama.

This should be the realistic expectation. I think it has more to do with Braxton Miller than Urban Meyer in year one.

Correct. I expect an 11-1 record.

I expect at least a couple championships by the end of the week. If not I expect him to be gone by Monday.

Some of you make me laugh, learning a new offense is not easy and the hardest part about the spread is not the coaches or the QB, it is learning the play's reads and having aline that can block down the field. I think Urban will do great things for OSU but not in year one IMO.

Not all of Meyers offense is a zone read and he is not Rich fricken Rodriguez, he'll form an offense to fit the players he has not shove a square peg in a round hole. You Michigan guys need to realize that the mistakes Michigan made are not going to be repeated at Ohio State.

Ten wins and appearing in the league championship game. And for Gawd's sake, recruit a couple of decent wide receivers.

Sorry, there was nothing close about the USC loss in the 3-9 season. I personally witnessed the 38-zip loss
