He was fined an entire game check which was when it was a really big deal to get fined and I believe he was tossed from the game, plus Turkey Jones wasn't a 5 time repeat offender.
Nice try though.

It was a comment about how aggressive hits are not new to the NFL during the ESPN era.

Nice try though.

And didn't Donovan Darius only get fined for murderizing some poor fuck with a clothesline?

Of course, this was in the mid 2000s, back before the NFL decided they REALLY cared about people surviving games and all that good stuff.

I think the comparisons between the hits "then" and the hits "now" are really not THAT valid unless the same commissioner AND league personnel are the same.

Right now, I think that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has been rather consistent with his disciplinary actions. Has it been totally consistent, no. But it has been somewhat consistent. Nothing can be compared from what Tagliabue and Company did before Goodell. Different administrators. Different league personnel. Different players. Things change. Things evolve.

Harrison's appeal is denied....too bad. Meanwhile, 3 Brown's players are out for the Cards game with concussions suffered during Steeler's game.

I cringe every time Harrison speaks. He is literally the dumbest person that I have heard talk. I have admired his ignorance ever since the whole not wanting to shake the president's hand thing....lulz.
