this is old news, however, it is very new to me.

now i know the article talks about a recession and blah blah blah. i tell you the truth of why(at least for the one in reynoldsburg) they're closing:
1. keep upping the damn all you can eat wings price. it was like 8.99 in high school, it was 12.99 or something last time i went. i can understand a slight increase but $4 is ridiculous.
2. the quality of service sucked. not only did the hot girls become not so hot, but they thought being hooters girls meant they didn't have to work. every time i was there the service really was awful. as a former server, serving is not that hard, as long as you are willing to constantly move.

even though the quality went down, i'm still pissed it's gone. i wanted all you can eat wings tonight damn it!

I'd think Tilted Kilt had something to do with it too. I don't know if they had all you can eat wings, but the food is good and the scenery is better.

Lets face it--in high school, Hooters is an exciting thing because well...you're a teenager. Going to Hooters was something you bragged about to your friends.

Once you get older, shitty service and the quality of food take over for the eye candy aspect of Hooters.

Yeah, Hooters just doesn't have the cache that it used to. Cheap wings and hot waitresses used to be a big draw, but frankly they don't have either anymore.

I'm 23 and I haven't been to Hooters in like 8 years. The food sucks and there are plenty of places to see fat chicks with big boobs.

The hooters here in Honolulu is all like 35-40 year olds. They look so gross in that outfit!!!!

This is a sad day for Columbus. As an old creepy bastid, I have very limited choices when it comes to breast-viewing whilst eating. With the closing of this fine establishment, it now means I have to rotate between Tilted Kilt, the one remaining Hooters, and that stripclub out by the airport that serves wings on Tuesdays. As everyone knows this is a direct result of Obama's failed fiscal policy and I will be voting him out in 2012 and voting breasts back to a new four year term.
I haven't been to a hooters in years. The food, service, and girls normally are terrible.

Like TGI Friday's, Hooter's is so 20 years ago.

You can get better wings at B-Dubs, Quaker Steak, Buffalo wings and Rings and about 10-15 other sports bars in any big town.

As far as the chicks go, they were scantily clad by standards 20 years ago, but in today's world, it really isn't something I can't see everyday on the street.

Last time I went to Hooters(in Columbus), my waitress was pregnant and wearing a t-shirt. Haven't been back since. The Hooters down at Myrtle Beach still have the hot girls though!

Mantooth and I went to Tilted Kilt when it first opened. Our waitress was literally the dumbest broad I have ever seen...but she was definitely hot.

Some friends and me went when were in high school to the one in Reynoldsburg. Girls weren't that hot and wings aren't that great. I'm a BDubs guy

I used to casually go out with a girl who worked at Hooters on 161 (a while ago, around 1999 I guess). She told me that her manager encouraged them not to wear panties under the orange shorts, and that girls were ranked based on looks, with the highest girls getting to wait on the best tables that night. Ahhh, what a system haha ...

Unless you're going to eat 30 or more wings, it's cheaper to go to BW3's on Tuesday for $0.45 wing night than to pay $12.99 for all-you-can-eat wings.

I prefer Roosters. I've only been to the tilted kilt once. Our waitress was hot, but the food was too expensive for what I got. (I did order wings, so maybe they have something else on the menu that's better.)

I agree. The wings(or niblets they pass off as wings) at Bdubs are more overpriced than any wing place out there. I bet if you weighed 10 Bdubs wings and 10 Roosters wings, there would be a significant difference, and Roosters is cheaper.
