I guess I'll post this again, without calling ccrunner a pedophile. In fairness he makes that apparent without us having to say it:
Do you know how fucking tiring it is having to explain the same shit to you over and over?
Any man with a modicum of football knowledge can tell you that the problem with Notre Dame this year was 100% quarterback play. If Jimmy Clausen as this team's quarterback they'd be undefeated.
Tommy Rees was a mediocre three-star recruit, and against athletic defenses (USC '10, USC '11, Stanford '11, FSU '11) he has played against five-star talent and gotten whooped big time.
The recruiting projections were not off, in fact they were very on point and this game proved it yet again. I saw exactly what I expected to see today.
As for if Jimmy Clausen being the quarterback they'd be undefeated, yeah I stand by it. It's a no-brainer too.
Notre Dame's backfield had two guys who will be playing in the NFL, a receiving corp with two all-Americans, an offensive line that went two months without giving up a sack, and a very reliable defense. They also had a quarterback who was a three-star recruit by Weis who has about as much arm strength as I do and shits his pants when there's the possibility of contact. With an above average QB, Notre Dame would have won ten games (beaten USF and Michigan), with a stud like Jimmy Clausen they'd be playing LSU right now. Do I think they'd be the #2 team in the country..NO. That's not what I said. Try to comprehend what I'm typing.
