Yes the team is listed on Max Preps website, doesn't give a whole lot of information, but yes the Cleveland Knights are a real team.

Nice pick up for Hillsdale in Week One. Manchester will go far in helping you avoid the situation you were in last year lacking points. I will publish my guide to surviving a game at Bob France Stadium later this summer. I recommend all fans heading there take the time to read it.
Orrville hasn't played there in a long time, but if it is anything like it used to be...prepare for one of the worst nights of officiating you will ever see!

I have had a kid play there at the varsity every other year for the past eight seasons. Here's my favorite example..... Triway kids running punt back, goes out of bounds, whistle blows, Manchester kid hits Triway ball carrier out of bounds, whistle blows, flags fly....the call personal foul late hit against Triway, move the ball back 15 yards. Get ready for that kind of stuff when you go there. Although I did hear they have installed a screen inside the fence so the people could no longer hold their bonfires outside the stadium and still watch the games. So things are looking up.

Loudonville and Smithville should be a good matchup along with Hillsdale and Manchester. Both good quality schools for the WCAL to play.

Cleveland Knights???.. What kind of a joke is that for the WCAL?i thought our conference just won a state championship? I also was checkingon maxpreps some of the area schedules and saw Cleveland Knights on rittman's and thought it was a mistake. I dont know what is going on in rittman but they must be pretty desperate for some wins.

I don't believe that the Cleveland Knights game will count towards playoff points. They are not an OHSAA team.

It should count. It would be like some of the OVAC teams playing WV teams or St. Ed's playing Canada and all the other teams from out of state. OHSAA will "define" them by their "enrollment" and award points based on that an their "record" (How many other HS teams do they play?)


But alas... it won't matter in the grand scheme.

other teams they have played in the last few years include Gamble Montessori of Cincinnati, United Military Academy of Pittsburgh, Toronto H.S (Ohio), Noblesville Ind. Lions.

This team is pretty far off my radar. It looks like they may have kicked it up a notch this year in scheduling.


My newest question is....Will Rittman win this game?....opinions?

The Cleveland Knights are sure an interesting addition to the schedule, and yes I believe it will be a confidence booster for the Indians. I am almost intrigued enough by this game to want to go see it live.
