CC, do you honestly know ANYTHING about basketball? Seriously, like anything? When the defender LOWERS his arms it's a FOUL EVERYTIME. Plumlee didn't stay straight up, as the title of that vid implies (which was probably posted from an ass hurt Duke fan such as yourself.)

When Plumlee lowers his arms and creates contact with the offensive player, he created a foul. Not to mention how he put his body into him as well.

OSU committed MORE fouls than Duke. Again, your team lost by 22 points. STFU.

This is exactly what Sleeper is talking about though. Dumb fucks like you support OSU in football, then talk shit about the SAME school in another sport. Makes perfect fucking sense.

Thats a pathetic attempt by CC. But I will agree, that is hardly ever a foul. Players are never completely vertical. But sheesh, actually blaming Teddy V and the officials. GTFOHWTFBS

...as the for the thread. Can Sully be out through New Years Eve please???

CC's just pissed because Valpo gave the Bucks more of a scare than the Blue Devils. They actually kept up for a full half of basketball, while Duke was ready to catch a flight home by halftime.

Yeah, they knew they couldn't win with the refs on OSU's side so they packed it in.

I don't know, but it's funny as hell.

Especially since Duke fans complaining about refs is comparable to Yankee fans complaining about how much money other teams are paying for players.

I hope he's back for the Kansas game...a lot of Kansas fans last year were hating on sullinger and as much as id love to shut him out for 0 points a part of me wants him to play well to shut up delusional fans of the team I root for. These fans say he's fat slow and not a good NBA prospect..its comical what delusional fans will say lol

I can understand if it was close and there was a questionable call. When you get your ass whipped by 20+, crying about the refs only makes you look like a butthurt moron.

Yeah. We got efffffd by the start of B1G play though (@MSU and then OSU at home with no students....). Probably gonna be 0-2 and the real test will be the rebound game with UofM at home. If they stay focused they can win and get the season back on track, if they let the 2 games before get to them I could see it being an 0-3 start which would be really disheartening.

This. The call was weak. But to blame the refs for Duke losing? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

OSU manhandled Duke. Plain and simple.

Satch is doing a college and HS basketball show on a Columbus TV station on Friday nights. Last night he said his son could play and Matta was being cautious. The back spasms started in the first half against Duke. Did anyone notice?

Actually, looking back at the Duke game, I noticed he wasn't getting up and down the floor very well. And today, seeing Sully on the bench, worries me a bit. Each time he got up, and went to sit down, you could tell he was hurting. He was slow to sit, and leaning to one side to sit down. You could tell he was hurting. He was walking very gingerly as well.

Would this be the inverse of supporting different schools in the same sport? (Perhaps just supporting hardest whichever school is ranked higher in a given year?)

There are good duke fans and bad duke fans. Swami and george accepted the beatdown with class and understood it was just a game. They gave OSU credit and moved on.... Other duke fans live and die with a win or a loss and let the excuses flow when they dookies fall. That is why everybody loves the dookies.

That was a terrific sermon. Thank you, Pastor Troy.

There were no excuses made on this Blue Devil fan's end. I have admitted that Duke got KO'd and that Ohio State is the better team at this point in the year. Do I think it's more than a game, though? Basketball has always consumed my life -- I come from a family rooted deeply in the game -- so, yes, I do. I think it is as serious as lymphoma. Why invest so much time and emotion in following a lifelong passion if it means as much to you as a game of monopoly? There's no game over for this Dukie. I love my Devils and it's something I feel pretty strongly about.

And I know that many sports fans around the country harbor similar allegiances.

And there are many fans who understand these are games, nothing more and nothing less. I, and many others, don't let the outcome of a game have a major impact on our lives. If your team loses, it isn't personal and it is just a game.

I love Indiana Basketball more than any inanimate object in the world. But I agree, win or lose my life goes on the same. I may be in a little bit better mood after big wins, and less after tough losses. But I dont sulk too long and move on pretty quick.
