I came last year and it was fun to watch. Doesn't exactly tell how your team is going to do, but gives you an idea of your athletic talent. The stadium wrap was discussed in meetings but isn't going to happen unless we exceed our goal for the turf. It would be in the category of a new fence around the stadium and new bathrooms.

I think the stadium wrap looks good when it is done right and the correct colors are chosen. Last time I was at Northwest, Canton South, and Minerva each of their wraps were faded (looked pink) and did not look good IMO.
I would like to see the eye doctor on S. Main street flip his checkbook out and pay to brick-in the back of the home stands

Field looks great and I can't believe this is really happening, what an amazing community!!!
We had the stadium wrap company come in and give us an estimate last summer....I believe we are waiting to get it until all the campus construction is completed. They didn't want to get it then have it ruined because of the construction....I would assume next summer it will be added to the stadium.

Don't look for a day at the forum and I'm paying for new bleachers. Beast and Miyagi haven't turned their money in for the new turf yet, and I'm sure that will cover it.

Turf, scoreboard, baseball upgrades, multi purpose building were all private money projects.
State money (tobacco money) paid for 2 of our 3 schools.

From the contractor....turf crew will be here in mid to late July to begin installing the carpet. Will take 14-17 days.
If that schedule holds, project could be done by mid-august and give teams time to practice on it before first games.

I kept part of the money as a "friendship fund" to try to get our new wrestling room built. The other half I gave to Miyagi... he told me he was going to drop it off to red miyagi rider on his was to the HorseShoe Casino.Flash;1208042 wrote:Don't look for a day at the forum and I'm paying for new bleachers. I better get a receipt! It was quite the sizable donation, I'll be needing the receipt for tax purposes!

Stopped by the field Saturday and among other things, was told that the underside of the home bleachers are being painted. Way overdue. Lots of rust starting to show through.
Also was told of there's enough money & time left, there will be new fencing installed around the perimeter.

I'm also glad they are going to use the traditional FG's like we had....not the dual football/soccer posts that were originally planned. I think that will make it look more like a football field, instead of a combo football/soccer field.
Still amazed at the generosity of this community and businesses.

Fencing is a MUST I think. The old fencing gives the feel of a prison rather than a football field and even more importantly, the new turf field needs to be protected.RedRider1;1210640 wrote:Stopped by the field Saturday and among other things, was told that the underside of the home bleachers are being painted. new fencing or not our boys better not get soft with all this up grade. Remember it is past performance that gets this type of thing done. The bar goes up...

Please keep underestimating this upcoming team; in fact I heard they turned the lifting and agility times into synchronized swimming. Should be a certain win for Wooster this year, don’t even bother practicing that weekCCRolly;1211375 wrote:It's alright...you guys should be ok again...in 4-5 years.

Even some of your fellow Rider fans are doubting your team this season. Don't act like I'm the only one...LOL.

Just poking the bear a little bit, the other sites thread, has West Holmes and Mansfield already in the OCC Championship, I know Wooster has some good players in the upcoming Junior and Senior class, and I think Orrville has some talent left also, that’s why we play the games.
