My hindsight about Pryor doesn't overlook the fact that I was WRONG!

The next idiot to compare the Tressel firing with the Paterno firing in any way shape or form should be auto-permanently banned. Mods don't have a hair on their ass if they don't follow through.

Nobody is comparing the firing and the circumstances they are comparing what people said about waiting for ALL the facts to come out before we string them up. Something that obviously goes over a person's head who likes to judge people before they hear ALL the facts.Tiernan;973815 wrote:The next idiot to compare the Tressel firing with the Paterno firing in any way shape or form should be auto-permanently banned. Perception doesn't require facts. Perception impacts alumni and donations. High level executive positions are subject to perception daily. The football program under the stewardship of Joe Paterno has a horrible perception and no longer is in the best interest of the University.

The odds on which idiot it would be were overwhelming in your favor.

That might very well be but they still have the ability and control of determining if they wanted Paterno as head coach. It's their decision and they hold the ability to decide his fate. I think you'll find at least as many people agreeing with them as you might that don't.Skyhook79;973834 wrote:FIFY

Not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but the 2nd mile received Penn State's legal team pro bono
They must have some dirt on the athletic department lol

One the chief legal counsel members for PSU had previously worked for Second Mile. The incest in that community, and specifically between PSU and the charity, is ridiculous.SportsAndLady;973850 wrote:Not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but the 2nd mile received Penn State's legal team pro bono

So will JoePa be coming back maybe in a year or two? Or is he officially out?
Thoughts.

I think the better question may be, 'Is JoePa ALIVE in a year or two?'reclegend22;974333 wrote:So will JoePa be coming back maybe in a year or two? Or is he officially out?

The man is almost 85 years old. The only thing he should be doing now is going to Florida for the winter, let alone in two years. His coaching days are over.

According to ESPN, McQueary DID stop the incident in 2002 AND DID mention it to police according to a source.
So, WTF?

You mean you missed the 15 second CBS Evening News big Interview where McQueary was suppose to tell his side? Let me sum it up for you.bigkahuna;974604 wrote:According to ESPN, McQueary DID stop the incident in 2002 AND DID mention it to police according to a source.

It just smells old lady snatch fishy. For nearly 10 years, you and police(for a 2nd time) keep quiet over this. Then in the GJ report, you state that you DIDN'T do anything but call your dad. This whole thing pisses me off.
Oh, I also saw where a former Second Mile kid said that Sandusky would touch his leg but nothing sexual; just weird.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it's a leg fetish. A little boy leg fetish. And now I'm going to shower because I feel slimy for typing that.bigkahuna;974823 wrote: Oh, I also saw where a former Second Mile kid said that Sandusky would touch his leg but nothing sexual; just weird.

Getting (now) grown men to come forward and admit to being molested by Sandusky will be tough. Men tend not to report these things because they don't want to be seen as weak, even if it happened when they were kids.

It won't be tough for them to come forward, enough of them already have, but it will be tough to get them to testify under oath. Lawyers see dollar signs and they are contacting every single boy that ever went to the second mile to fish out some possible money.Writerbuckeye;975236 wrote:Getting (now) grown men to come forward and admit to being molested by Sandusky will be tough. One of the "boys" he's 22 now has said Sandusky once rested his hand on his leg while they were driving and left it there for about 45 minutes.

University police saying this is the first they've heard of the incident McQueary witnessed. What a cluster fuck.
