@RappUp
Jeff Rapp
The Times article confirms what I heard this morning. The Board of Trustees voted Paterno out, he was asked to resign and refused.
Correction this is the tweet I was refering to.

Doesn't really say when exactly, but the board met late Sunday night, almost midnight.

The Grand Jury report said their investigation goes back as far as 1994.

I don't know if you saw it or not, but some news agency in State College did report that yesterday.

Just my honest opinion. I didn't say anything bad and never have about OSU or Tressel when that hit. I have known Coach Tres for 20 years and worked for him for 1 year. Don't take it personal because I think OSU will lose another game.

It was written in a combination of Crayola's and finger paints, so I'd think you might be on to something.

If he really refused, then nobody on that board has any balls. He should have been fired immediately. Why are they unwilling to do the right thing here?

Shameful.

Morons. This case has nothing to do with the football program other than it envolves a former coach and two current coaches. If this was a history professor and the dean of the history department covered it up it would be just as terrible of a story and would have 1 article on page 9 of the Post with 5 comments about how terrible everyone feels for the victims and the dean should be fired.

@Ben_Jones88 Scott Paterno, Joe's son, is working on setting up an off-campus press conference for Paterno to speak at.

My favorite part of news articles is the comments:
Joe Pa should be allowed to finish the season at Penn St. Anybody who is going to be stupid and ruin his legacy by not letting him finish the season and lead Penn State amid this scandal deserves to go down with him.

I Hope they can work this outside of the courts and settle with these alleged victims with whatever financial needs they will accept to move on and then Sandusky can go in hiding and maybe receive some much needed Help. Everybody needs to move on as quickly as possible so we can Build back the Greatest college and football team to ever be a part of PA. We need to forgive and to Forget and to Prosper again.
Go Lions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRrrr owl
Blue and white never gets Ugly. Only people who are ugly and dont want to move forward in a positive direction will make it Ugly. PEnn state is Glorious no matter what the outcome. We Are Penn State,We Are Penn State, We Are Penn State, who do we appreciate PENN STATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
even Tim Tebow > Pedophile State University
JoePa, Sandusky and everyone in the PSU administration who knew about this incident is worse than Mike Vick but no one will rake them over the coals like they did Vick because they are a bunch of old white men.
Can somone provide clarity on this situation because everything i have read so far i very vauge.

what age were the abuse victims?
were they abused while on the penn state foot ball team?
was sandusky ever a coach?
Tressel is a hypocritical joke, at least JoPa told his boss and didn't sweep it under the rug...he just failed to follow up on it, so that is where he failed

Wow I didn't even know the trial was going on in Harrisburg. I've been in that court house a few times and live like 10 min away.

I love comparing what JT did to a guy who covered for a child molester for years. Yeah, JT is a real scumbag in that scenario.

Grand juries meet in secret. No trial. It's only after they're done and indictments are issued that details get released.

Apparently this has been going on since March.

Psu fans I know, are in complete denial. They think joe pa did everything right. They think urban Meyer is there next coach... Because they said his daughter goes to school there. WHEN SHE DOESN'T. They think the osu scandal is way worse. It's unreal!! But one of my close buddies who's a psu fan and has 4 young boys thinks that everyone should be fired and that they are all disgusting.

You are right. I apologize for adding Coach Tres to this thread at all. There is no comparison to these two situations. I didn't mean to compare, but I can see where it looks that way. I was simply stating I didn't bash OSU or him and meant nothing personal by saying I thought OSU would lose another game this year.
