Why is just anybody off the street not affiliated with the University allowed to pose for pix with recruits?

I'm sorry. Are you suggesting OSU hire body guards now? The reason those people are "allowed" is because its a free country and if the recruit says yeah ill pose with you, its legal

Right? :laugh:I got a picture with Lighty after the MSU game a few years back. Why would anyone block pictures?

Well, technically they were on an Unofficial Visit, which means that they went to BW3's on their own. Meaning it was not a school sponsored trip or anything like that. Basically it was nothing different than 3 HS Jr's eating dinner at BW3's. What say could OSU have at all at that point?

My turn to Troll.

Pretty bold statement for a fan of a school who is a combined 7-19 over the last 2 years. ;)

This isn't OSU's fault. What could they have done to prevent this from happening? This is being discussed on UC boards right now too and for the most part they aren't blaming OSU for this.

I know UC grads/fans are usually pretty busy being productive members of society, but we do occasionally take a few minutes to discuss the Bearcats.

The kids Dad seems to be alluding to this being OSU's fault. But like someone said earlier, seems like he was just looking for a reason to decommit.

He's backed away from the initial comments and said he didn't blame osu or Meyer hasn't he?

People will blame OSU for anything as it is constantly under a microscope that no one else is. We don't even hear about other team's violations until the punishment is handed out. I mean heck, at Notre Dame you have to negligently kill someone to even get a blip on the radar before its swept under the rug for $77k.

With that, I'll take multiple championships and multiple wins against ranked teams.

[INDENT]"I want people to understand, I have no beef with Ohio State, at all," Sal Anzalone said. "My issue is not with Ohio State: It's a great institution, they have a phenomenal president, Urban Meyer is nothing but a class act to me.
"There's nothing wrong with Ohio State; it's a great institution. When I said there was something wrong with Ohio State, I was talking about the visit - there was something wrong with the visit, not with Ohio State."
Sal Anzalone said that Meyer called Friday evening, but did not wish to provide any details about that conversation.
"We can't implicate Ohio State for what happened (during that visit)," Sal Anzalone said. "That's wrong. That had nothing to do with the university itself. I don't hold them accountable; they're not responsible for what fans do; it's not their fault."
After saying Friday that Alex would no longer consider attending Ohio State, Sal Anzalone said the Buckeyes are back in the picture, but that his son - an All-State linebacker and one of the top recruits in the nation - needs time to reassess the situation.
"With all the craziness, we want to slow down the process, calm it down a little bit," Sal Anzalone said. "There's no reason we wouldn't consider the Buckeyes. We love Ohio State. The academic opportunities there are tremendous."

Now it sounds like he's getting heat for being a pussy and no other schools want him.

Ohio State needs to pull his offer and let the kid go to Notre Dame where he can rot for 4 years.

So do people still want his offer pulled now that his dad says osu is back in the picture?
